Please make sure, that your java command starts the newly installed java version. It look like you get an old version (or even kaffe) which is still at version 1.1.x. Try the command java -version to find out. If you get the wrong version uninstall the old one, update your PATH settings or edit the complete path to the new version into your ppower4 script.
