[OT] Politically incorrect (black) humor?

2011-06-21 Thread Pete Theisen
Hi Everybody,

http://www.humanevents.com/article.php?id=44127

Tracy Morgan made a joke about gay people. Everybody pretend to be
offended.

“I don’t f---ing care if I piss off some gays,” Morgan allegedly said,
“because if they can take a f---ing d--- up their a--, they can take a
f---ing joke.” The Saturday Night Live alum explained that should his
son tell him that he is a homosexual, “he better talk to me like a man
and not in a gay voice, or I’ll pull out a knife and stab that little
n- to death.”

[NF] Firefox 5.0 gone black?

2011-06-21 Thread Joel N. Fischoff
Heya,

So, most of you probably know that Mozilla Firefox 5.0 was released today.
I downloaded and installed it... and I have issues. After the first couple
of Control-Tab's (or even just selecting a different tab with the mouse),
the screen goes almost completely black. The visible part, at least - the
tabs and the status line detailing the URL location, and the back/forward
buttons, etc, are all still visible. It doesn't seem to matter if the
application is maximized or not - the black fills in whatever visible area
there SHOULD be. So far, all I've been able to do is quit and restart, and
that's getting old fast.

Googling tells me this kind of thing has happened before, but since this
release is so new, I haven't seen any fixes for it yet. Anyone with any
ideas? Windows 7 Professional, if it matters.

I've included a JPEG with this message, but I don't remember if ProFox
strips attachments, so...

Thanks in advance,

Joel

Well, it stripped it. I didn't remember one way or the other. In any case,
here's the photo in question:

2011-06-21 Thread Michael Madigan
Both chrome and firefox seem to be causing me to do complete reboots way too
often. Very frustrating as the speed increases are getting negated by the
reboots.

  Heya,

So, most of you probably know that Mozilla Firefox 5.0
 was released today.
I downloaded and installed it... and I have issues.
  After the first couple
of Control-Tab's (or even just selecting a different
 tab with the mouse),
the screen goes almost completely black.  The visible
 part, at least - the
tabs and the status line detailing the URL location,
 and the back/forward
buttons, etc, are all still visible.  It doesn't seem
 to matter if the
application is maximized or not - the black fills in
 whatever visible area
there SHOULD be.  So far, all I've been able to do is
 quit and restart, and
  that's getting old fast.

Googling tells me this kind of thing has happened
 before, but since this
release is so new, I haven't seen any fixes for it
 yet.  Anyone with any
ideas?  Windows 7 Professional, if it matters.

I've included a JPEG with this message, but I don't
 remember if ProFox
  strips attachments, so...

I have the beta on my laptop at home.  Never anything
 like what you
 are experiencing.

Usually I wait to read the bloodshed in blogs before I
 commit to an upgrade.

Hi folk
My umpteenth brainfade of the year

After editing a memo using the Rich Text Control, how does one then print
this in a report without all the control codes ?
e.g.
{\rtf1\ansi\ansicpg1252\deff0{\fonttbl{\f0\fnil\fcharset0 Arial
Black;}{\f1\fnil\fcharset0 Arial;}}
{\colortbl ;\red0\green255\blue64;}
