Ok, then here's the working example: http://www.mfacil.com/overlappingDivs Drag items between the 2 lists to see sortable working, now drag one of the lists over the other so they overlap and try dragging items around. You will notice how sortable dont respect whats in front and whats behind. That is my problem. I tried working with z-index but it didnt work out.
