Re: unable to delete audio after making selection in Pro Tools 12.3 and OS X 10.11
Hi, Yes I have the correct track selected and command and shift and l does tell me I have a loop as the selection plays over and over but if I press the delete key on the full sized Apple keyboard during the looping no deletion takes place and if I delete the selection when nothing is playing the selection is not selected but the audio still exists. What else should I look at and once I find out what is causing these issues is there a way to make the change global across all sessions as the default? Re: unable to delete audio after making selection in Pro Tools 12.3 and OS X 10.11
Here's what I would do: Make sure "Insertion Follows Scrub" is checked in Preferences. Use your scrub wheel within a track to make sure that there's an insertion point. Make sure you hear audio at some point while scrubbing. Once you've scrubbed, stop the transport. Make your selection as you did before, using the down and up arrows. Confirm that your selection range is what you want to delete. You should be able to simply press the space bar to have that section play Check that your length field in the Edit window reflects the length of what you're intending to delete. The precise length doesn't matter as long as it seems a reasonable length consistent with what you've selected. Now make sure all of the tracks are selected where you want the audio to be deleted. Press delete. Press space bar to verify that the audio was deleted. On Nov 22, 2015, at 12:47 AM, Nick Gawronskiwrote: > Hi, I did check and both of these are checked. Re: [SPAM?] Re: unable to delete audio after making selection in Pro Tools 12.3 and OS X 10.11
There is a newer good/bad issue with latter versions of Voicover. You can now have quick navigation on or off by pressing the (left arrow and right arrow) together to toggle on/off the mode. In order for the markers to set correctly, you need to have quick nav off. You might want to check that. pro tools 12.3 upgrade, I think it was a cuccess
Hello all, I believe my pro tools 12.3 upgrade from pro tools 12.0 was a success, but just to make sure, can someone tell me some of the new things I should be seeing in pro tools 12.3? I do see 2 volume faders when interacting with a new track, what other new thing should I be seeing with voiceover? I am just asking so I can mae sure that the upgrade was indeed a success. Re: unable to delete audio after making selection in Pro Tools 12.3 and OS X 10.11
Hi, I did check that checkbox and tried what you suggested and there is a value in the selection edit length edit box. However even when loop is turned on and I can hear the selection looping still the deletion does not delete the selection no matter what edit mode I am in. Would calling Avid support be the best option as I do have the educational support plan for a few more months and they might be able to find out very quickly what is going on as every time I try something to fix the issue I get nowhere? Re: pro tools 12.3 upgrade, I think it was a cuccess
Actually, the first volume fader still moves in half a dB increment. It's the second slider that moves in a tenth. That's the indicator that you can Command-click to cycle between volume, peak and sample delay displays.
