Re: List with tools to get to work within PT

2016-09-07 Thread Slau Halatyn
Hi Rui,

The prices change all the time depending on what’s on sale, etc but it’s
roughly anywhere from $1,000 up to around $2,000 depending on which controller
you get. If you have a controller already, you can opt for the S-25 which is a
25-key controller you can use to access the presets and adjust parameters and
you can use your existing keyboard for performance.

In Pro Tools, you instantiate an instance of the Komplete Kontrol plug-in and
load the various instruments through it including Kontakt. I haven’t loaded
third-party libraries but I know others have had some success if the libraries
are NKS compliant. Native Instruments have a bunch more info on their site.

Since warp markers aren’t accessible, I don’t know of any way to reliably
create them and quantize them. That doesn’t mean it’s impossible but it’s not a
straight-forward process as far as I understand it. Some programmers tried to
look into it but it wasn’t a simple thing to implement. Perhaps it’ll happen in
the future.

HTH,
Slau

Hi Ramy,

I might have used the Pro tools uninstaller perhaps once many years ago. I
don’t have any advice but one thing that comes to mind is that you might want
to empty the trash before trying to launch the newer installation of Pro Tools
and, in case you had saved an icon in the Dock, I’d launch it from the Finder
first and then update the Dock entry. Hope that helps,

  Hi Rui,

Regarding instruments, you’ll find everything you’ll ever need in Native
Instruments Komplete Kontrol Ultimate which Native Instruments made
self-voicing when you use their Komplete Kontrol S-series controller keyboards.

I don’t quantize drums, per se but there are people using Beat Detective for
that. Creating and editing Warp markers in Pro Tools isn’t currently accessible
although you can use Elastic Audio to change clip tempos easily.

AutoTune is considerably more accessible than Melodyne.

Hi Slau,

I think this is a bug. I showed it to one of the sighted Studio Managers and
he could duplicate the problem without VoiceOver running. The solution seems
to be to import the file into the clips list first, and from then on, importing
as new track starts working. I’ll soon find out whether this is consistent,
and at the same time I’ll check out your advice on dragging clips on to the

long-winded, but needs must perhaps?

Subject: Re: Import audio dialogue

Hi Peter,

To get a detailed explanation of how the Import Audio dialog works, it’s best
to read that section of the Pro Tools reference Guide. It explains everything
pretty clearly. For now, however, what you’re doing is exactly right. If the
Track radio button is selected, you should see a new track appear in the
session. If you have selection chosen in the pop-up, I believe the clip should
appear at the point shown in the Start field of the Edit window. Did you try
tabbing in that track? By default, after importing, I’d imagine the clip would
be selected in the

Removing the Protools completely

2016-09-07 Thread Ramy Moustafa
Hello all my friends:
I was using the pt 10 and 11, but after I got v12, I decided to remove
the 2 previous versions.
I went to all apps, and I found the protools and I hit command delete,
but I can still open the v10 from a short cut that I created on my
dock, so, how can I remove the v10 completely? I tried the uninstall
and I choose save uninstall, and I press on uninstall button, but
nothing removed.
Can you clearify this please?
Thanks

Hi Slau,

Really interesting information!

Would you say Altiverb is fully accessible with VO or are there any
parameters/buttons that doesn't read?

All the best,
Niklas
