Air FX Bundle Not Showing Up in PT after Installation

2017-01-22 Thread Des Delgadillo
Hi everyone,
Hoping someone might be able to point me in the right direction here. I have
installed PT 12 and the Air FX bundle from the Avid website, but when I go to
use the FX in audio suite the plugins I just installed don’t show up. I have
restarted PT.
Is there any way to perform a rescan of plugins?
I would rather not trash my preference lists since I changed a lot of stuff.

Thanks in advance for your help.
Des

Re: automation questions

2017-01-22 Thread 'Joy Bausch' via Pro Tools Accessibility
Hey Slau,
yes, that did help. I'm doing my automation with an Artist Mix controller,
which, as you most likely know yourself, makes things very enjoyable. *smile*
So, i guess, what a blind user needs to do when wanting to edit written
automations is to simply record over them? Basically leave the mode on touch
and correct possible wrong movements.
I'm still exploring the world of automations, so I'll keep on trying stuff out.

Many thanks,

Joy

Re: automation questions

Hi Joy,
Automation isn't in the form of clips. It appears as a series of lines and
break points. Sighted users can create break points by clicking in the timeline
and they can drag those points or draw lines. The alternative (or, I should
say, the primary) means of accessing automation is through controls like
faders, mutes, pans, send pans, send mutes, etc. While some people bypass this
and go straight to drawing the information in, it started with clicking buttons
and moving faders first and then adjusting. Flor a blind user, it's all about
those buttons and faders and that's one of the aspects that makes having a
control surface pretty indispensable. Hope that helps clarify.

automation questions

2017-01-22 Thread 'Joy Bausch' via Pro Tools Accessibility
Hey Guys,
maybe someone can help me with the following:
I've routed my Drum-tracks into an aux, and i'm sending the sum to a
delay-channel. Working on a Dub-Remix here, in case you're wondering. *smile*
I want to work with automations, and PT records my send automations fine. But,
i can't find them as clips.
My question: are automation clips for aux-channels not accessible? I've set the
view to send level, but when i tab through the clips, nothing is shown.
Any ideas,

many thanks,
