Plenty of people using  PT on Windows. I use it daily. Have a look at 
www.pro-tools-pc.com for Windows PCs that are optimised for PT.  Also Avid 
certifies specific HP machines.

That was it. Thanks.   Turns out I need to leave the M-Audio card disabled in 
device manager or it wants to be the audio device for PT. Not a major problem 
as I can use the on bored sound for other tasks.

Yes and updated the firmware. Tracks Live can record from it but I think I 
would rather use PT.   It shows up in settings / hardware as well as playback 
engine just not in the I/o setup or on the mixer track under interface.

There are 8 rows of 18 keys and as far as I know there are no tactile markings 
so I think it would be  real easy to get lost with a keyboard of that size.

MP3s in a Session?

In PT11 when I drag and drop and MP3 onto a track the MP3 is converted to wave 
files and copied into the audio folder for that session. Is there a way to get 
ProTools to keep it as an MP3 file to save space on the hard drive or copy it 
as an interleaved file rather than a right and left?

Activating RX4

Has anyone updated to RX4 and tried activating it?

I've tried using my iLok serial number and the iLok name which is iLok_ 
followed by the iLok SN. I get the response that they can't send the activation 
to the iLok. Any idea what info I should be using to identify the iLok?  Or is 
there a problem with the iLok server?  I get the same response if I try 
activating vi RX4 or from the izotope web site.
