Hey Kevin,
that's really sweet. I love the two leed synths in the background and the
jazzy bridge.
Nice singer too. Bravo.

Hey folks. Just got through with this jingle I wrote for a client. I was
going for that late 70's early 80's Smooth Jazz feel. Besides the fact that the
mastering bus is a tad over compressed, let me know what you guys think. Be
aware that my strengths are in writing, arranging, lead and backing vocals,
keys, drum programming, sound shaping and design. I'm not a mix or mastering
engineer. I hate mixing. If I had a Preset called Late 70's bob James, I'd
use it. If I had a budget for hiring a mix engineer, I'd do it in a heartbeat.
Needless to say, I am extremely proud of the arrangement and performances. All
was recorded and mixed in Pro Tools 9. All sounds except for the drums were
stock. Some of them are less than desirable, but for now, they'll have to do.
The drums I used was the free Drumcore kits. Anyway, looking forward to hearing
your thoughts. http://www.kevinreeves.net/WeTalk.mp3

  Enjoy.

Good job, Kevin.
Ignoring the mix part which you said to do, the rest is very well done.
I'd love to play with the mix part of that one. LOL I'm not in the same
league, or even close to that league yet, as Slau is but would like to be
some day. I figured out long ago that an musician, in terms of writing and
composing, I'm not. But, I really love the tech part of the task.

Excellent job Kevin! Pull that mono synth track down in the mix a tad so it
doesn't stomp your very nice vocal tracks and I think you'll have a hit jingle!
That's my amateur 2 cense worth.

Cheers,

Earle

Hi Justin,
i had exactly the same idea esspecialy because the info was hard to
understand but Kevin the arrangement was just a little over the top but this
is a question of taste
anyway it was a good job and if your client is sattisfied with it that's all
that counts.
maybe it helps to expand the background vocals and to mix them in the
orchestra.

but its a good example of the poweer of protools.
grts.
Peter.
