Hmm ok, what keystroke would you recommend?

It looks like Cubase and Ableton include this as well.

Hi folks.
Does ProTools contain a keystroke to simply
move to the next transient on a track or
tracks? Sonar and Reaper both do this with the tab key.

I'm writing an email to Magix, makers of the
Samplitude DAW, to ask that they add this
functionality, and I want to mention as many
other DAW's that include this feature as I can.

Re: Tab to transient

2016-06-29 Thread Slau Halatyn
Hi Martin,
I have a file open as I'm waiting for a session to start so I tried it. I can't
find a way to do what you're suggesting. That doesn't mean there's no way to do
it but I've never come across a shortcut to accomplish this. I understand the
situation of selecting to a place that has gone too far. One way to perhaps
accomplish this more easily is to start from the end and use Option-Shift-Tab
instead. This will work backwards so that, when you hear the beginning of the
selection range, it's less likely that you'll tab past the beginning of what
you want to select. Hope that helps,
Slau

Tab to transient

2016-06-29 Thread Martin (Punky) Sopart
Hello all!

If "Tab to transient" is active...
Every Shift+Tab extends the selection to the next transient.

Is there a way to shorten the accomplished selection back to the previous
transient again?

Thanks in advance and regards! / Martin

Thanks Slau.
There are programs with sensitivity/threshold control for beat or pitch
detection, so I thought PT might have it.

Hi All,

Is there way to change the sensitivity for how Pro Tools analyzes the

Thanks,
