[Pulp-dev] Introducing Plugin Snippets for custom Plugin URLs

2020-01-27 Thread Brian Bouterse
We're having a few challenges with the custom webserver routes. These are
the nginx and apache configured routes in addition to /pulp/api/v3/ or
/pulp/content/.

I wrote up the problem descriptions on this epic:
https://pulp.plan.io/issues/6057

This would involve plugins that want additional routes for pulp-api or
pulp-content-app to write nginx or apache snippets. This is pretty easily
done, but it would be a change from how we did it before.

Please give feedback on the epic (preferred) or here is fine too. I'm
hoping to implement this change in 3.2.

Thanks!
Brian

[Pulp-dev] django-admin wrapper for Pulp3

2020-01-27 Thread Dana Walker
Looks like we would like to move forward with adding a wrapper to the basic
django-admin functionality as put forward in #5859 [0] to configure
settings for users wanting to apply migrations. This was previously
addressed with pulp-manager and removed in #4450 [1] due to lack of
justification for middle-man and lack of autocompletion support.

I've tried to summarize the current decisions [2], but we really want
consensus on:

1) the name (pulp-manage, pulp-manager, pulp-django-admin, pulpcore-admin)

and

2) autocompletion status for this ticket (there's a linked doc but also a
comment saying this functionality is undocumented)

If folks could please take a look and reply on the issue so that the work
may move forward, that would be much appreciated.

Re: [Pulp-dev] Hanging tasks (reloaded)

2020-01-27 Thread Matthias Dellweg
Based on Simon's suggestion I opened [0], and it completely solves the
problem for me.

Also it seems I forgot to mention that there is now a redmine ticket
for this [1].
