For the record I verified that the only diff between master and facter-2 is the revert of the committer/contributor guidelines: [71] facter git:(facter-2) git diff origin/facter-2..origin/master --name-only COMMITTERS.md CONTRIBUTING.md I've sent email to puppet-dev@ and notified all PRs that they should target master. I won't actually delete the facter-2 branch for a couple weeks just so those PRs can still be worked to completion as currently targeted. The only way to clean up the history is to do an actual force push.
