The resource  face  application  to the puppet command line tool doesn't seem to have a man page.Example:http://docs.puppetlabs.com/references/latest/man/resource.htmlIt would be pretty nice, if there were some options listed, or the syntax were explained a little bit.We know it from memory, but sometimes we look for new options, and a description of how the success or failure will affect the exit code.Thanks very much,-Chris

Jira (PUP-1709) The `puppet resource' command doesn't have a man page

2014-02-14 Thread Christopher Nielsen (JIRA)
Title: Message Title

 Christopher Nielsen created an issue

 Puppet / PUP-1709

The `puppet resource' command doesn't have a man page

Issue Type:

  Improvement

Affects Versions:

 3.4.2

Assignee:

 Eric Sorenson

Components:

 UX

Created:

 14/Feb/14 4:37 PM

Environment:

CentOS installed from the Puppetlabs repo

Priority:

  Normal

Reporter:

 Christopher Nielsen

The resource face to the puppet command line tool doesn't seem to have a man page.
Example:
 http://docs.puppetlabs.com/references/latest/man/resource.html
It would be pretty nice, if there were some options to use or the syntax were explained a little bit.
We know it from memory, but sometimes we look for new options, and a description of how the success or failure will affect the exit code.
Thanks very much,
-Chris
