Jira (PUP-2886) future parser should validate class/resource names that are types
Title: Message Title Henrik Lindberg created an issue Puppet / PUP-2886 future parser should validate class/resource names that are types Issue Type: Bug Assignee: Andy Parker Components: DSL Created: 02/Jul/14 6:11 PM Fix Versions: 3.7.0 Priority: Normal Reporter: Henrik Lindberg The validator should issue an error if a type name is used as the name of a class or define. define integer { } class data {} The names should be allowed when used in some context e.g. MyVeryOwn::Integer - this, although most names are computer science like, the type Data may be something that people want to use. There is no deprecation, and if not validated, references to those classes/defines will not work as expected, with strange effects, or errors elsewhere.
