Title: Message Title Josh Cooper commented on PUP-3967 Re: Run puppet acceptance with cfacter There are a few failures in the rhel7 case, which I think are a result of the master not having ruby in its path, so the enc functionality sometimes fails with errors like: Warning: Error 400 on SERVER: Cannot run program /tmp/environment_resolve.JsWJvA/enc.rb: error=2, No such file or directory Likely it is unrelated to cfacter, but should be verified. Title: Message Title Josh Cooper created an issue Puppet / PUP-3967 Run puppet acceptance with cfacter Issue Type: Task Assignee: Unassigned Created: 2015/02/05 10:27 AM Priority: Normal Reporter: Josh Cooper We've run into some issues running puppet with cfacter both on Windows (CFACT-208) and RHEL (https://groups.google.com/d/msg/puppet-users/bFs3FzsP9QQ/l6vpZSOG2X8J). It would be good to verify at a minimum that puppet can run with cfacter. Perhaps create an acceptance test that runs puppet apply --cfacter -e notice($somefact). We could go further and create a job in the pipeline that runs puppet with cfacter enabled, like we did for future parser. So create a setup step that writes into puppet.conf: [main] cfacter=true For example, https://github.com/puppetlabs/puppet/blob/3.7.4/acceptance/setup/common/pre-suite/100_SetParser.rb.
