UPDATEPuppet 4.7.0 and later does not have this problemORIGINAL Seen with puppet version 3.8.6 and 4.3.2, on different iMacs.The issue seems random, as it works fine on some iMacs but not on others.bash-3.2# puppet resource userError: Could not run: undefined method `empty?' for nil:NilClassbash-3.2# puppet resource user puppetError: Could not run: undefined method `empty?' for nil:NilClassbash-3.2# puppet resource group puppetgroup { 'puppet': ensure => 'present', gid=> '495',}This means I can't manage any users on some iMacs.

So I installed puppet agent 4.7.0 and it solves the problem for me.
