Jira (PUP-8022) apt.puppetlabs.com repo cannot be mirrored via debmirror using https connection
Title: Message Title Joel Smith created an issue Puppet / PUP-8022 apt.puppetlabs.com repo cannot be mirrored via debmirror using https connection Issue Type: Improvement Assignee: Unassigned Created: 2017/10/04 8:04 AM Environment: Ubuntu 14.0.5 Priority: Normal Reporter: Joel Smith Related issue As described in the associated link, debmirror is unable to create a mirror of the apt repo due to the root level being at the top level. Setting an entry in /etc/debmirror.conf to set $remoteroot=""; results in a 404 error as debmirror attempts to download http://apt.puppetlabs.com//dists/trusty/Release (note the double slash in the URL). Manually going to this URL results in the following error: 404 Not Found Code: NoSuchKey Message: The specified key does not exist. Key: /dists/trusty/Release RequestId: B40E0BDA513BDB7F HostId: Jbo2Cq1WWgL5XVZ
