Jira (PUP-8732) Investigate if Puppet Device pluginsync can be limited to remote modules
Title: Message Title Josh Cooper commented on PUP-8732 Re: Investigate if Puppet Device pluginsync can be limited to remote modules We have future plans of making improvements to pluginsync so that we don't copy everything everywhere. For this specific issue, you might want to create a different pluginsync directory for each node under management (and perhaps preload the cache the first time?). But if you do override the pluginsync destination dir, then you'll run into. Jira (PUP-8732) Investigate if Puppet Device pluginsync can be limited to remote modules
Title: Message Title Rick Sherman created an issue Puppet / PUP-8732 Investigate if Puppet Device pluginsync can be limited to remote modules Issue Type: Improvement Assignee: Unassigned Created: 2018/05/15 9:32 AM Priority: Normal Reporter: Rick Sherman Currently Puppet Device pluginsync processes all items. We should see if this can be limited to items that relate to Puppet Device. This would benefit uses in pluginsync time and duplication of files, as a cache is maintained for each node Puppet Device manages.
