In particular, I'd like to make some small style (monospace where
appropriate)

My BPO username is "yossarian". Please let me know if you need any other

Yes, thanks Bryan. Bokeh definitely deserves inclusion, and there are many
rich links about it already, particularly in the Jupyter environment.

The problem is, as "webmasters" we have very little time to edit content,
and so we rely on community members to edit what they can. Welcome, and
thank you again for taking the time and having the interest to help others.

[pydotorg-www] Edit request

2016-08-16 Thread Bryan Van de Ven
Hi,

My username is BryanVandeven

I noticed that there is no mention of Bokeh
(http://bokeh.pydata.org/en/latest/index.html) anywhere on:

https://wiki.python.org/moin/NumericAndScientific/Plotting

Bokeh is a large, popular (80k installs/mo) BSD licensed library for data
visualization and data applications in Python that targets modern browsers. It
has had accepted tutorials for several years at PyData, SciPy, EuroPython,
PyBay, and other conferences.

I intend to add a description along with a links to docs, GH, and other
relevant resources.

Thanks,

[pydotorg-www] Edit request on boost.python wiki

2015-04-21 Thread Hans Dembinski

Dear maintainers of the Python wiki,

please give me access to edit
https://wiki.python.org/moin/boost.python/HowTo
so that I can update the advice given on how to define raw constructors
there.

The method described in the wiki is outdated and not elegant, since it
requires to write a custom C++ header. It fact it is possible to write
raw_constructors since 10 years now, although the solution is not
obvious for the non-incarnate. It can be found as part of the tests of
boost.python:

https://github.com/boostorg/python/blob/master/test/raw_ctor.cpp

I would like to add this information to the wiki and a working example
code, which I tested and commented.

There is no other good source on the web on how to make raw
constructors, which makes the information on this wiki particularly
important.

Best regards,
HD
