[Python-modules-team] Bug#838713: python-xlib: please make the build reproducible

I have updated the package to not use texi2html at all, but I cannot
figure out whether the patch Chris proposed is needed or not, as
makeinfo lacks the option used in the patch, and I'm not sure it does
the right thing without any options at all.

The patch 00_supress_profiler_warning.diff needlessly disables a Debian
specific warning in CherryPy's test suite.

Please remove this patch as it displays useful information to users
running the test-suite.

If you want this warning removed, please submit a ticket upstream [1] as
they're essentially maintaining unused code.

Hello,

The cherrypy3 test suite is currently timing out on ci.debian.net. I'm
not sure if it just takes time, or if it's actually hanging.

Can you please check?

I am blacklisting cherrypy3 for now, and will revisit that when this bug
is closed.

Dear Maintainer,

when asking for ssl encryption by cherrypy it delivers results using
unencrypted http rather than https. This is known upstream in
https://bitbucket.org/cherrypy/cherrypy/issues/1298/ssl-not-working
and the workaround in
https://bitbucket.org/cherrypy/cherrypy/issues/1298/ssl-not-working#comment-9209835
works for me, but may affect other things according to the discussion
there.

A stand-alone test (adapted from the discussion in bitbucket) to
reproduce is:

--8<--
#!/bin/bash

openssl req -nodes -newkey rsa:2048 -keyout server.key -x509 \
 -days 3650 -out server.crt -subj "/CN=CherryPy"

The current version described by upstream cherrypy.org as "stable" is v6.0.2,

Is there a good reason for Debian to only ship 3.5.0 ?

There are a lot of changes:

Dear Maintainer,

This package contains a broken symlink:

/usr/share/doc/python-cherrypy3/tutorial ->
../../pyshared/cherrypy/tutorial

but the only package that provides /usr/share/pyshared/cherrypy/tutorial
is python-cherrypy, which conflicts with it.

Package: python-cherrypy3

Severity: wishlist

Please add a documentation package.

Currently, the documentation is in the Python 2 package
(installed size: 23.8 MB), so users of Python 3 (installed size:
~1 MB) have to install the Python 2 package.

Btw.: Maybe I'm wrong, but it looks like there are a lot of
example or tutorial files in both the Python 2 and Python 3
package. Those files should, IMHO, also be moved into the -doc
package, because they are not relevant to production sites.
