2 major improvements. It's the first version where we have the

Basic macros, templates, several extensions and dozends of ODF
documents. I did not notice any problem.

Finally I re-installed AOO 4.1 and let the installer take over the 3.4.1

I'm missing my user-defined shortcuts, Python macros, Java settings,

platforms: Windows 7. The test configure is as follows:

Test Environment: CPU:2.6 GHz; Mem: 8GB; OS: Windows7
  Test Build: AOO.4.0.1_r1518667; Baseline AOO4.0_r1503704
Test Evaluation Method:Automatically run each test case 8 times and

 minimum

The test scenario include: Slideshow, new AOO file, load file and save.

Volunteers could run performance test on other platforms.

Please Post PVT Report in Wiki

All the automation scripts could be downloaded in AOO project. And it is

(default color)' when textbox inserted into presentation

But while executing step 3 for textbox Default fill type is 'None'. Is it
a bug ? or Default Fill type is Color only applies to drawing object and
 fontwork.

hi , Prachi

I think the picture object also should be applicable to Step 4 to Step 10

Indeed , I can't see rotation section in position and size section in
sidebar in writer

But I try create a picture and see rotation section in spreadsheet and
impress

so i suggest you create new bug in bugzilla (https://issues.apache.org/ooo/)

Step No. 3 Insert a drawing object, or a picture.

After inserting drawing object all the test steps (4 to 10) works as
expected, but after inserting picture should I need to execute all the
steps( 4 to10 ). If yes , then in position and size section I could not see
rotation section. Is it a bug? or I just need to run all the test steps for
drawing object not for picture. Please help.

Hi All,

We continue doing the AOO 4.0 Full Regression test this week, here is
  the
weekly update (5/28 - 5/31), please find more detail statistics in
  wiki:
http://wiki.openoffice.org/wiki/QA/Report/WeeklyReport/20130531

*Test execution: *
We have assigned 1732 text executions to about 20 volunteers(4 more
  this
week), and completed about 43% in execution so far. 35% Mac test
   executions
have been done compared 0% last week! The target is to %100 attempted
   1000
test executions (741 so far) before June 6 providing all volunteers
complete their assignments before that date.

*Defect summary:*
1. 30 defects were opened and 19 defects were resolved this week, so
 we
have 11 (30-19) net new defects added in the backlog
2. Expose 2 Mac specific defects during quick testing on Mac 10.8
 with
64-bit Java, Bug 122418 (fail to display color bar in color dropdown
   list)
need to set priority as it frustrates user to select color visibly

*Issues quality highlight:*
1. Encourage volunteers to continue executing test cases in TestLink
 to
achieve their assignment
2. Redhat is with risk as less testing done on them - inform/remind
  Linux
test team assignees make progress on this platform
3. Do general use testing on Mac for assessment - no crash/hung/data
lose/open file fail issues, but 2 Mac specific defects discovered,
 need
   set
priority for the first one
(1) Bug 122418 -[Mac]Fail to show color or display incorrectly in
 Color
Dropdown Menu --- Special on Mac
(2) Bug 122420 -Can't Copy and Paste Hyperlink on Mac --- Special on
  Mac
(3) Bug 122419 -The Second Slide can't apply footer/page number when
   select
Don't show first slide option -- Both on Mac and Win7
(4) Bug 122421 -Shape remain group when change from ungroup to group
   until
double click shape -- Both on Mac and Win7
4. Critical defects are waiting for fix - need more Dev volunteers to
involve
5. QAs are reminded to make sure to perform all test cases with
   navigation
and accelerators, and make sure to specify defect numbers in Testlink
  for
failed test executions
*
Volunteer status: *
1. We have 4 more volunteers joining test executions, all are for Mac
2. No new volunteers(total 6 so far) on defect work, need more to
 clean
backlog of unconfirmed and resolved defects
*
Plan for next week:*
1. Prioritize critical defects and assign them to Dev volunteers
2. Confirm left ~100 critical defects which are not confirmed yet
3. Achieve the target (June 6) to complete 1000 test executions in
 AOO
   4.0
Full Regression test with the support from volunteers

Thanks you all for effort this week, it is a great community here, if
  we
   do
a little bit more then we will get an awesome achievement. Thanks!!

Regards,
Yu Zhen

these items are not actually bug reports but ideas or wish lists

improvement in case anyone is interested.

Re: Defects need be fixed with high priority in AOO 4.0

hi,Rob

I inform Priority and Severity fields from BZ help

   1.

*Priority:* The bug assignee uses this field to prioritize his or her
bugs. It's a good idea not to change this on other people's bugs.
   2.

*Severity:* This indicates how severe the problem is - from blocker
(application unusable) to trivial (minor cosmetic issue). You can also
use this field to indicate whether a bug is an enhancement request.

if you are interested in other fields ,you can get from

https://issues.apache.org/ooo/docs/en/html/bug_page.html

For the level for Priority and Severity , refer
http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Bugzilla/Fields

SeverityMeaningBlockerBlocks further development and/or testing work.
CriticalCrashes, loss of data (internally, not your edit preview!) in a
widely used and important component.MajorMajor loss of function in an
important area.NormalDefault/average.MinorMinor loss of function, or other
problem that does not affect many people or where an easy workaround is
present.TrivialCosmetic problem like misspelled words or misaligned text
which does not really cause problems.EnhancementRequest for a new feature
or change in functionality for an existing feature.

PriorityMeaningimmediateMust be fixed immediately (means: Drop any other
work). Reports should have an assignee set in the Assigned to field, and
both assignees and further affected parties (e.g. Engineering
Managementhttp://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Wikimedia_Engineering)
should also be informed by private email, to be on the safe side.highestShould
be fixed as next task by a team and certainly before the next deployment.
Teams should only have very few issues (preferably one) with highest
priority at the same time. Reports should have an assignee set in the
Assigned to field. In case of Platform
Engineeringhttp://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Wikimedia_Platform_Engineeringtickets,
notify
RobLa http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/User:RobLa-WMF separately.highNot
the next task, but should be fixed soon. Depending on teams manpower this
can take between one and six months.normalMedium priority; would be good to
get fixed somewhere in the future. Contributed patches might speed fixing
up.low

This can be fixed, but we're not going to worry about it. Patches very
welcome and required for progress.

We have pretty high backlog for unresolved defects, we need to clean them
as much as possible before we exit full regression. Before we focus on
 the
fixing work, let's set the filter and get the defect list with high
  priority.

I would suggest we use this way:
  1. Get candidate defects by query: severity = blocker, critical and
 status
  = unconfirmed, confirmed, reopened
  2. Evaluate them and set/unset Flags as 4.0.0_release_blocker to get
 defect
  list with high priority
  3. Assign these defects to development volunteers for fixing and QA to
  verify once get resolved

You comment and suggestion are welcome!

Maybe someone can help clarify something: The BZ form has two fields
for rating bugs: P1/P2/P3/P4 field and a
 blocker/critical/major/normal/minor/trivial field. What is the
 difference?

Also, the 4.0 release blocker has 3 values: ?/+/-. The way we did it
before was to set the field to ? to propose it as a blocker, and
then discuss it on the dev mailing list. If there was consensus it
was a blocker then the value is changed to +.

hi,alfredo chable torrez , version 64bits for the system 64 ,not version
32bits
Jurgen prepare a new snapshot build based on the trunk revision 1471628

you can keep on paying attention to get the status of build information

http://ci.apache.org/projects/openoffice/index.html#win

Now i am downloading Windows Nightly (aoo-win7) revision 1471628 to run
bvt

You can put your Suse and Ubuntu result on wiki.
For Ubuntu error, from your error information, this is not fail case,
 just
  environment is not ready.
You can try to search on google. You may not enter X-Windows on Linux ,
that is you can't pop up GUI windows for test.

All the result about BVT are about BVT case and OO relation function.
Environment not ready should not display on BVT result, this will impact
  other volunteer's judge. Thank your.

   hello team,
I keep insisting on doing BVT in Suse,
and i apply the same steps as for ubuntu but it still shows me this
  error:

   No protocol specified
Exception in thread main java.lang.InternalError: Can't connect to
 X11
window server using ':0.0' as the value of the DISPLAY variable.

   here in image http://imagebin.org/255187

I would like to finish the test in Suse but this error in the last step
  did
   not let me to finish.

*note: I have already installed the JDK 1.6.0 (
  http://imagebin.org/255189
   )

Before, html result save on one personal space and display with
   dashboard(
http://people.apache.org/~liuzhe/testdashboard/#bvt).
But put the results on one personal space indeed not very good. The
   better
way is a public server provided by Apache,
this maybe need some application process.

1)I think, html results are important, but summary report is more
important. About bvt, more volunteer care detail information
when case failed. We can put summary result on
http://wiki.openoffice.org/wiki/QA/BVT_Report. If bvt have defect,
 we
   can
open it on bugzilla
with fail case's result.xml and screenshot as attachment.

2)As Claudio Filho's suggestion, put html result in bvt report wiki
 is
  a
good way. But wiki not support to upload html files,
do you have other way to accept html files on wiki?

 Hi

 2013/4/23 alfredo chable torrez yurggent1@gmail.com:
  good new companions,
I have already test scores, how I can upload the file to this
 page?
  http://people.apache.org/~filhocf/aoo/bvt/result.html

Alfredo, this is my personal space and isn't the good place to put
  your
 results.

But your question is very good with other PoV: where we can put our
 results?

I think that the best is inside of wiki, but need to do a change to
 accept .html files.

 Li, what you think?

this is an image of my result (http://imagebin.org/255072)

 Congrats, Alfredo! \o/

 bests,
 Claudio
