2013-09-19 Thread Etienne Tourigny
I have tried both local install and install from ubuntugis-unstable (2.0.1
in Linux Mint 15-raring) and the color ramps seem ok.

Perhaps the problem is that no ramps appear, until you click on one of the
categories?

Can someone confirm that this is the issue (not that ramps are not
available).

regards,
Etienne

[Qgis-developer] new bug in spatialite data provider?

2013-09-19 Thread Josef K
I recently tested version 2.0 and found that I can not add features to a
spatialite layer where the primary key is defined by two fields: text and
integer. Error message:

"Errors: ERROR: 1 feature(s) not added.

Provider errors:

SQLite error: t2.col_2 may not be NULL

SQL: INSERT INTO "t2"("col_1","col_2") VALUES (?,?)"

In addition, in QGIS-master (version 2.1) there is also a problem to add
features to a spatialite layer where the primary key is text (only one
field).

I have been using 1.9.90 for several months and not had these problems
before, at least not after bug #4569 was fixed [1]. A sample project and
data base may be downloaded from here [2] for testing, just start editing
the layers and try to add some features. Updating layer t2 fails in version
2.0 while there is problems with both layer t1 and t2 in version 2.1.

Could someone please verify before I send a bug report? (I am using Ubuntu
12.04, qgis built from source with spatialite 4.1.1)

regards
Josef

Could we use a csv format? Writing json is a pain. Also csv is easier to

It is simple, considering number of bands, DataType and
ColorInterpretation we decide LayerType, for LayerType we set
DrawingStyle and each DrawingStyle has assigned default renderer.
Shortly:

multi band => MultiBandColor

single band and color interpratation PaletteIndex => PalettedColor

single band and color interpratation ContinuousPalette => ContinuousPalette

single band and data type ARGB32 => SingleBandColorDataStyle

all others => SingleBandGray

[Qgis-developer] new style menu for rasters

2013-09-19 Thread Larissa Junek
Hello all,

I'm looking for someone who works with raster files in QGIS.
For documentational purposes we'd like to know how the band rendering
in the Layer Properties works.
Does QGIS always create a palette for any kind of raster file?
Or does QGIS depending on the file format use either Multiband color
or Paletted or Singleband grey?
Does the user have to switch to Singleband pseudocolor manually, because
there is no automatic use of Singleband pseudocolor?

Any hints welcome.
