The problem is upstream in packaging.. Thanks for the info! Current version of SAGA installed is 2.3.1 the same on Windows/osgeo4w. And on Windows 2.3.1 is also broken on 2.18.7 that is far worst now (but 2.1.2 should still work fine). > On sourceforge [0] I now see that SAGA version 4 (?!?) is already > available. SAGA is fast moving (as you say there is already a version 4) and we know that frequently the name of tools or parameters are changed in between versions, and this of course has proven very difficult for us to keep the description files updated. They have now a LTR version (I think is 2.3.*) and I personally don't see any alternative for us if not sticking with it. Linux users (I'm also a Linux user) will have to ask packagers to add a saga ltr package to their distribution or find a way to install/compile saga LTR in their systems. cheers! -- G -- ___ QGIS-Developer mailing list QGIS-Developer@lists.osgeo.org List info: https://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/qgis-developer Unsubscribe: https://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/qgis-developer

The SAGA LTR is 2.3.* I have fix some issues with this version, about gdal_io and flow_accumulation, to use it on ubuntu. * https://github.com/qgis/QGIS/pull/4294 * https://github.com/qgis/QGIS/pull/4296 * https://github.com/qgis/QGIS/pull/4297 Regards, René-Luc Le 10/05/2017 à 10:13, matteo a écrit : Hi Giovanni, I'm sneaking into this thread... Re: [QGIS-Developer] [Qgis-developer] Processing toolbox SAGA not working
Hi Giovanni, I'm sneaking into this thread... On a linux machine and QGIS master, Processing reads only 1 algorithm of SAGA. Current version of SAGA installed is 2.3.1 On sourceforge [0] I now see that SAGA version 4 (?!?) is already available. As I remember Processing will support the LTR version of SAGA... I'm confused on which version is (or will be) the LTR.. If the version supported by Processing is different from the one provided by the repositories (in my case 2.3.1) do I need to compile the correct version by myself or in future the LTR version will be included in the repo and packages?
