Try:

http://buten.norbit.de/~jef/

there is a 2.12.3 installer.

Juergen's server is one of the mirrors

@Juergen: is rsync not running anymore?

Stephen,

I can't speak about BC data specifically, but the Canadian federal
government has geographic data available at their Geogratis site
(http://geogratis.cgdi.gc.ca/). And there are lots of base map tile
servers available, but they may be hard to use if your intent is to
print a large map.

Brent Fraser

My quest is for high res data. I live in the SW of British Columbia

I had some data from my school days, and I can build a fairly decent

British Columbia government cartography, which was shut down in 1992,
it has significant errors, like missing a creek that runs quite near
to my home.

8 or 9 years back, when I was seeking a map for my Garmin GPS, there
were a few guys in British Columbia that had good data and were giving
it away. They did not mention where they got this data. I do not
seem to find them these days.

If you can point me in the right direction for this data, I will much
appreciate it.

I found 2.12.2 here:

https://qgis.org/downloads/

I thought I had found 2.12.3. I downloaded it and unzipped it, but
reading the Install, I realized it entailed building from source. Like
you, I am not keen on going down that road.

If 2.12.2 can serve your needs, it can be found on the link above. I
suppose if you installed this, and checked for updates, it would update
to 2.18.3 and not to 2.12.3?

[Qgis-user] Save GPS infos in a shp layer

2017-02-15 Per discussione Claire BERGUER
Hi Everyone,

I'm using QGIS with an external GPS receiver to create new entities in a shape
layer. It's work fine.
But I would save too the GPS informations in the same layer (HDOP,
elevation...). Is there a way to do that ? May be with a variable ? I can't
find it.

Thanks,

 grazie mille

No, non vedo il pop up in qgis. Vedo quello della figura sotto. Quando
esporto in KML in google earth vedo solo i punti e non i numeri. Se
riuscissi pure a vedere i pop up con tutti gli attributi in earth sarebbe
fantastico. Grazie
