diverso.

Grazie,
Matteo

Thanks.
I fixed the problem by deleting directory C:\OSGeo4W64, and reinstalling
QGIS version 2.18.14

2017-11-09 Per discussione G. Allegri
Ciao Matteo,

Re: [QGIS-it-user] campo tipo numero intero lunghezza 10 QGIS 2.16 e 2.18

2017-11-09 Per discussione Gabriela Osaci Costache
Ciao!

Matt,

Each layer is a separate table within the database, you can have as many
as you like. As with most spatial formats I would avoid mixed geometries
in the same layer.

Here are some of the docs about spatialite

Hi,

I´m new to this support list, and would like to post a question.

I´m developing a QGIS Python plugin. The plugin loads in one computer but not
in another (both with Windows 10). I get this message in the wrong one:

This plugin is broken
Error reading metadata: global name '__builtin__' is not defined

In the computer that gives the error message I have the latest QGIS version:

QGIS version
2.18.14
QGIS code revision
ff83b9a479

The one that runs OK has version 2.18.3

Any idea of what is happening?

QGIS can help you calculate these information automatically, without using
the Measure tool and report its values manually. Use the $area or
$perimeter/$length functions from the field calculator (see doc at
http://docs.qgis.org/2.18/en/docs/user_manual/working_with_vector/attribute_table.html#field-calculator).
Matthias answer uses these functions automatically at creation but you can
process the calculation any time, in one-click.

Hi Scott,

The new possibility in 2.18 is cool but if you have older QGIS version you can
use SIGNAL/SLOTS

.featuresAdded().connect(defaultAttributes)

def defaultAttributes(fid):
feature = [feat for feat in .getFeatures() if feat.id() == fid][0]
.changeAttributeValue(fid, ,
feature.geometry().length())
.featuresAdded().disconnect()

It is a little bit messy :).

[Qgis-user] vector digitizing question

2017-11-09 Per discussione Madry, Scott
Hello all. I have a vector polygon shape file that was originally created in
ArcGIS. I have recently added three polygons to the file using QGIS, but the
results (attached) show that the area and perimeter values for these are not
computed. How can I, in QGIS, generate these area and perimeter fields to be
added? I know I can manually do the areas using the ‘Measure’ tool, but would
prefer an automated process. Does Arc just create these automatically? Can QGIS?

Thanks so much,

Scott
