[QGIS-it-user] Programma grant 2018

2018-06-22 Per discussione Paolo Cavallini
Questi i risultati:
http://blog.qgis.org/2018/06/22/qgis-grant-programme-2018-results/
Saluti.

[Qgis-user] 2018 QGIS Grant Proposals final results

2018-06-22 Per discussione Anita Graser
Hi all,

On behalf of the QGIS.ORG project, I'm extremely pleased to announce the
winning proposals for our 2018 QGIS.ORG grant programme. We managed to make
some more funds available to support more than the planned EUR 25,000.
Read all about the successful proposals here:

http://blog.qgis.org/2018/06/22/qgis-grant-programme-2018-results/

A number of interesting and useful proposal didn’t make it because of our
limited budget; we encourage organizations to pick up one of their choice
and sponsor it.

Regards,
Anita

Oggetto: [Qgis-psc] QGIS server is officially a reference implementation for
WMS !

Hi PSC,

I just received very good news, *QGIS server is now recognized as a OGC
reference implementation for WMS.*

It implies of course that it is compliant, but it also confirms we are free
of any charges concerning the certification process.

The certificate is publicly available here, with a badge (logo) that we can
embed in any other website:

http://www.opengeospatial.org/resource/products/details/?pid=1496

The last two months where dedicated mainly to discussion with the OGC team
about how to affiliate or not to OSGEO organization, and if there was a
possibility to avoid pushing load on Venkatesh shoulders - just because the
webapp doesn't handle many managers per organization.

*What to do next?*

- A post in blog.qgis.org. I'll draft something quickly and submit it to
Anita, is that the leanest way to do?

- Insert the badge in documentation and maybe website pages. Please let me
know if you are aware of specific locations to adress.

- Publish and relay the blog post in mailing lists, social media and other
channelse

- keep the work on certification process, and fix issues with the latest
TEAM Engine platform release. If I get it right, we should be able to work
on WFS via the grant applications ?

Concerning the relations with OSGEO, I think we must clarify with the OSGEO
board that we didn't choose to display QGIS as a separate organization, the
certification platform didn't let us too much choices. Anita, what should
be the right way to do that, a public message on "OSGEO discuss" should be
enough?

Thanks for your patience all!

Best regards

Régis

[Qgis-user] QGIS User Meeting 2018: Lectures and workshops wanted!

2018-06-22 Per discussione Claas Leiner
This mail refers to the German-speaking QGIS user meeting in Essen and
is therefore written in German.

Liebe Leute,

am 14. September 2018 findet in Essen das 8. deutschlandweite
QGIS-Anwendertreffen statt.

Wir suchen noch Vorträge, Workshops und Stammtisch-Betreuer!

-

spezifische Themen austauschen sollten.

--
Vorschläge bitte bis zum 1. Juli an cl...@qgis.de

Vielen Dank!

Claas

Do you know how to get the WMS request scale ?

This is on QGIS 2.18 right? Server on 2.x doesn't have support for
variables (you need 3.0). For 2.18 try using "$scale" instead of
"@map_scale" - that should work in both desktop and server.

https://github.com/qgis/QGIS/pull/3004

QGIS.

Hi Nyall,

Yes, I think it would be great fit for a crowdfunding effort.

Do you think that it would be possible to, at some point in time, use a
layer/feature geometry instead?

Thanks! I will be waiting for the next crowdfunding campaign to back it up.

[Qgis-user] QGIS on AWS

2018-06-22 Per discussione Phil Wyatt
Hi Folks,

Does anyone have any insights or documentation on running QGIS on AWS? I am
working with an organisation that wishes to setup QGIS and possibly QGIS
server on AWS. Looking for any documentation that may help them or steer
them clear if it's a bad proposal.

Cheers - Phil
