Thank you all three for your answers. 

I tested the suggestions with my limited knowledge of QGIS and could use it 
very well. I can pursue my task now. 

For the records: The suggestions from Raymond worked all very well; Etiennes 
idea with the virtual field is an excellent idea for ongoing work, 
unfortunately the calculation example did not work for me -- but it is OK with 
the more basic solution. Finally, the lat-lon plugin as well as the POI 
Exporter seem to work seemlessly. I have now to learn about all the power of 
these plugins.

Paolo a quanto pare è proprio così. Sembra, che vi sia un problema  di
disallineamento tra QGIS e GRASS 7.6. è consigliato il downgrade alla 7.4.4
fintanto che il bug non viene risolto.

GRASS was updated after the QGIS release - hence it still expects 7.4.4.
Unfortunately the rebuilds I meanwhile failed because of bug in the new
GRASS package (requiring the 32bit install to be in C:\OSGeo4W32 and the 64bit
install to be in C:\OSGeo4W64 and failing otherwise).

I just fixed it locally and the builds are underway.

You can meanwhile downgrade GRASS or resort to the standalone installer, which
was built before the GRASS update.

[Qgis-user] OSGEO4W64 Installer installs Grass 7.6.0 but processing plugin and env variables point to 7.4.4.

Hi,

I am trying to do a clean install of Qgis using the OSGeo4W64 
installer.  Before hand, I destroyed all QGIS registry keys, files, 
temporary files, user profiles, shortcuts...  It seem the installer 
installs QGIS 3.4.4 with GRASS 7.6.0.  However, Windows x_64 menu points 
to "QGIS Desktop 3.4.4 with GRASS 7.4.4" and not GRASS 7.6.0.  Now, if I 
install 7.4.4, It works but I would like to use 7.6.0. as it is the 
default for 2.18 also.


When executing a Processing toolbox algo, I get GRASS GIS 7 binary 
(grass.bat) can't be found on this system for a shell. Please install it 
or configure your Path or OSGEO4W_ROOT environment variable.


This is the Path in the qgis-bin.env file

si, puoi usare contemporaneamente più app GPS dipende solo dalla memoria
disponibile del tuo smartphone.

Comunque, se mi posso permettere, se ho capito le tue esigenze, Qfield non
mi sembra l'app GPS più adatta.

Purtroppo temo sia proprio un bug, ho fatto la prova con un csv con 3 campi
e tre record (separatore punto e virgola, ma vale anche con la virgola) che
incollo in fondo.
Caricato in qgis 3.4.4 (senza plugin) esportato in gpkg. Con calcolatore di
campi su quest'ultimo non carica i valori dei campi con spazio o con
trattino. Idem il query builder. Mentre sul csv li carica
qui sotto il csv che ho usato (se volete provare)

Ottimo, ora funziona bene, incluse coordinate polari e in x e y e anche con
modifiche topologiche attivate (in tal caso a volte hanno la precedenza
queste a volte l'editing avanzato, secondo cosa s'imposta)
Se può servire (per le prove sull'aggiunta di un plugin alla volta) ho
fatto la prova con profilo con soli plugin interni dei quali attivati solo
DBmanager, metaserch catalogue client e processing.

Maria,

You can certainly do it with the field calculator, but I wanted an easier
way. I programmed this capability into the Lat Lon Tools
plugin. The specific function
is "Geometry to field". You can access it from "Plugins->Lat Lon
Tools->Conversions->Geometry to field" or from the processing toolbox under
Lat Lon tools.

There is a lot of functionality with this. You can export the the points to
either a single field in the attributes table with a separator or to two
fields. You can specify the output CRS. You can also choose between Decimal
degrees, DMS coordinates, GeoJSON, WKT, MGRS, and Plus Codes.

As far as getting it onto your Garmin device try the POI Exporter
plugin which is another plugin
I wrote. Look at the documentation. It will export your data in GPX format
and you can use Garmin Basecamp or the Garmin POI Loader to get it onto
your device.

I will just add 2 tips to Raymond's answer.

* In the field calculator, you can create a "virtual" field, so the content
is updated everytime you move a point, or you create a new one.
* With these expressions, you will get decimal values. Since QGIS 3.4, you
can have DMS or DM values (convenient for GPS)
to_dms(x(transform( $geometry, 'EPSG:2444', 'EPSG:4326'))),'x', 3)

In Qgis 2.x esiste il plugin "Red Layer", molto comodo. In caso, è possibile 
fare il porting per Qgis 3?

I have been watching YouTube and reading tutorials the whole afternoon, but I 
do not get this simple task done: 

I have a map with several layers in EPSG:2444. Now I create another vector 
layer with points, which represents points that I have to go myself and check 
for several features. I will go there with my Garmin Etrex 10 GPS. 

So, I would like to 

- add the coordinates of the certain points into the attribute table to print 
out the table later.
- create a file with the coordinates in order to import it into the GPS device 
and walk along all points. 

My question:

Cosa va segnalato?

nel video dimostro che funziona tutto usando un profilo pulito, inoltre
appare anche il messaggio nel caso il layer e il progetto siano impostati
con EPSG 4326.

Grazie a Totò per il video esplicativo.

Vorrei aggiungere due cose:

- la digitalizzazione avanzata funziona anche su layer salvati con con
coordinate geografiche purché vengano riproiettati al volo in qgis in un
altro sistema, quindi la possibilità di digitalizzazione avanzata è legata
solo al sistema di coordinate della mappa, non a quello in cui sono salvati
i layer;

- mi sembra che lo snapping in realtà sia funzionante anche quando si
specifica una distanza per la digitalizzazione avanzata, solo che non
compare il quadratino che lo segnala; lo dico perché guardando la linea
tratteggiata all'interno del cerchio di distanza, che ruota spostando il
puntatore, essa sembra bloccarsi quando si passa sul vertice da agganciare
anche se non compare il quadratino.

[Qgis-user] Calculate GPS distance days daily with end of weeks

Dear colleagues,

I ask for help: I have a layer of points with positions of birds marked
with GPS. One of the columns is the value of the date. The analysis I would
like to make is to empirically verify that individuals move from the area
where they usually live on newspaper days, during weekends, due to hunting
in the area.
My idea is to calculate distance to points, for example, distance of all
points of the week to the average GPS value of the diary days of that week.
In theory, if the bird moves during the weekend by hunting, the distances
of the days Saturday and Sunday should be greater than those of Monday,
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
How do you come up with this? Any other alternative?
