[Qgis-user] Drag and drop files into QGIS - Silly Question

Hi All

 

I have a brand new PC, have set up QGIS, exported and imported my QGIS
profile from my old PC and all is working perfectly with QGIS and added
plugins ect apart from the ability to drag and drop shp file (or MapInfo tab
or any files) directly into the layer panel in QGIS.  Am I missing something
obvious, but for the life of me I can't find any setting that may enable or
disable this or much on the web about it?

[Qgis-user] QGIS v3.9.0-53: proj_6_1.dll is missing

Hi there,

in the current dev build (3.9.0-53), proj_6_1.dll is missing on Windows
64-bit builds.

There's proj 5.2.0-1 and proj-dev 6.2.0-1 only.
You can't select proj 6.1.x-x at all :-(

CIao a tutti,
qualcuno mi sa dire quando hanno spento? Ho un utente che mi segnalava un
problema già il 2 agosto...
come ho spiegato sul thread della lista GFOSS.it si scopre che i servizi
funzionanti sul visualizzatore sono servizi ARCGIS mentre i servizi WMS di
UMN Mapserver sono stati spenti.
Io ho scritto un sollecito a p...@minambiente.it penso sia importante che ci
facciamo vivi in tanti anche per testimoniare che il servizio è utile.

Sono capace di selezionare le features lineari che si trovano al di sotto
di un poligono più grande, capita a volte però che parte delle linee in
questione si estendano anche oltre i confini del poligono in questione.
E' possibile selezionare ad esempio solo i vertici delle features lineari
che sono dentro il poligono evitando le code che restano fuori?

Hi Bryan,

This error is not related to QGIS.

After installing Postgresql, you have to install Postgis [1]. After
installing Postgis, you have to enable that extension in each database
that handles geospatial data.

If you are using Windows, there are Windows installers available that
allows you to install additional packages, like Postgis, using the
installation GUI, like EnterpriseDB Windows installer [2]. If you are
just starting learning, use something like this.

[Qgis-user] Postgres 11 will not CREATE EXTENSION postgis;

I am new to Postgres and QGIS but when attempting to "CREATE 
EXTENSION postgis;" I consistently receive ERROR:  could not load library 
"C:/Program Files/PostgreSQL/11/lib/rtpostgis-2.5.dll": The specified module 
could not be found.SQL state: XX000 . Most references on web refer to 
incompatible  versions of QGIS / Postgresql . this is not the case I have 
verified, in fact the same installation runs fine on my win 10 laptop. It has 
something to do with the Win Server 2012 R2 that I have installed it on. Need 
some direction of where to look next

[Qgis-user] How to shorten this in Field Calculator

I would like to shorten the following proces (= workaround)  of calculating
a simple  Rs (Spearman Rank correlation) in the Field Calculator .

and as an example:

Its about two columnsin the table  (X-Y in the example )  : P_00_14_JR (age
0-14 in %) and  P-N_W_AL (people from outside W-Europe in %).
I know that it can be done with an R- script, but as I m working with
students and I want to show them how the formula works and R is not working
anymore on the schoolsystem I tried a workaround. It works, but there are
too many steps.
My workaround is in 2.18.9 :


   1. using the plugin Sort and number and ranking both columns. So two
   more fields : r_014 and r_nw (rang x and y)
   2. make kolom 6 ((x-y)2) using Field Calculator:
   (  "r_0-14"   - "r_nw_ll"   ) ^ 2
   3. create new field in FC named RS:
   1- (  ( 6 * (  sum( "kolom6"  ) ) / ( ( (count(  "BU_NAAM" ) ^ 2) * (
   count(  "BU_NAAM" ) ) ) - count( "BU_NAAM"  ) ) ) )
   In which 'BU_NAAM' = n (number of objects in this case names of
   neighbourhoods in Den Haag) but this one can be any other fieldname.
   New fieldname = RS and with 'Real' and precision 5
   4. in this case Rs = 0,488 which means a little correlation
   (I know that there should be no ties in the values, but that would make
   the proces more complicated in case of

Is there a way in the FC I can do it in less steps?

can you send me the error message that informs you about the limit? I 
was just wondering because I did not add any restriction on the number 
of input points in QNEAT3, neither in the n:n, nor in the m:n 
algorithms. I have also performed analyses with more than 5000 points 
per dataset (of course this analyses take much more time because of the 
higher workload).
