[Qgis-user] Looking for QGIS Python code for a three-level menu?

2024-05-12 Per discussione Elstermann, Mike via QGIS-User
Hello everyone,

I'm looking for a piece of QGIS Python code for a three-level menu, something
like this:

Plugins
   |
   |
MyMenu > -+-- Submenu 1 > SubSubMenu 1.1
   | | +--- SubSubMenu 1.2
   | | +--- SubSubMenu 1.3
Other... |
  +-- Submenu 2 > SubSubMenu 2.1
  | +--- SubSubMenu 2.2
  | +--- SubSubMenu 2.3
  | +--- SubSubMenu 2.4
  |
  +-- Submenu 3 > SubSubMenu 3.1
  +--- SubSubMenu 3.2

Can anyone help with a code snippet?

 Thanks & best regards, mikeE.

[Qgis-user] Newbie-questions for Publishing my 1st QGIS Plugin

2024-04-17 Per discussione Elstermann, Mike via QGIS-User

Hello everyone,

I am new to QGIS plugin programming. My questions are related to the
publication of plugins in the QGIS Plugin Repository.
I uploaded my plugin "OD_LSA_Loader" six days ago (11.04.2024), plugin ID 3346,
yesterday (16.04.2024) another new version. There was no error message in both
cases, everything seems OK.

Now to my questions:
- Who releases the plugin when or informs me if I did something wrong or if
further steps are necessary?
- Is there still something to do, have I forgotten something, are there still
errors?
- Or am I just too impatient?

Thank you & best regards, mikeE.

[Qgis-user] WFS: Change symbolization (outline color/thickness and fill) using Python in QGIS.

2024-04-09 Per discussione Elstermann, Mike via QGIS-User
Hello everyone,

I have a code snippet to load a WFS, how can I easily change the symbolization
(outline color/thickness and fill) using Python in QGIS?.

 def addWFS14(self):
uri =
'https://www.geodatenportal.sachsen-anhalt.de/wss/service/ST_LVermGeo_ALKIS_WFS_OpenData/guest?=WFS=1332412,6708967,1333423,6709355=1=auto=ave:GebaeudeBauwerk=EPSG:25832=false=true'
lyr14 = QgsVectorLayer(uri, "LSA: ALKIS Gebäude (WFS)" , ‚WFS')
QgsProject.instance().addMapLayer(lyr14)

Thanks & best regards, mikeE.

Dear users,

I am using QGIS 3.32 version and I want to download the 3.34 version on my Mac
computer (macOS 12.7.1). I properly downloaded and loaded the installation
package for Mac computers on the QGIS web page. Then I ran QGIS, but the
software presented the 3.32 version.

I precise that I use QGIS for personal purposes. I hope I have been clear in my
explanations.

Best regards,

Thomas Beauvais.

[Qgis-user] QGIS-Kerning-Errors?

2019-03-05 Per discussione Elstermann, Mike
Hello, everybody,

When I use mass text with different markups (font attributes) over HTML text,
kerning errors occur especially with small but necessary font sizes, i.e. the
spacing becomes incorrect. The screenshot [1] should illustrate this. It is
simple HTML (on the right). The errors occur equally in QGIS 2.14 and 3.2. Does
anyone have an idea or a workaround? What other possibilities are there for
mass text with different attributes?

Here is the test HTML:

just out of curiosity:

Is it known that the QGis3 Icon and the QuickTime Icon on Mac look very similar?

I mean: Apple filed copyright claims for lesser reasons...

It seems as if QGIS starts the symbolisation of lines anew at each node/vertex.
It would be better to just continue drawing, see graphic on
http://www.geoobserver.de/qgis_line_symb1.png
Anybody have an idea?

Did you set the GRASS7 directory to C:\OSGeo4W64\apps\grass\grass-7.0.3 in
processing options, provider, grass gis 7 commands?

> And I can't find the "msys"-directory. Where is it?

The GRASS package in OSGeo4W doesn't depend on msys anymore - so it isn't
pulled in automatically.

Hi,

Who can help?
Since QGIS 2.12 & 2.14 I can't use in QGIS the Grass-functions.

Error-Message:
"Missing dependency. This algorithm cannot be run :-(
GRASS GIS 7-Verzeichnis ist nicht konfiguriert. Bitte vor Ausführung von GRASS
GIS 7-Algorithmen konfigurieren."

We have installed from
http://qgis.org/downloads/QGIS-OSGeo4W-2.14.1-1-Setup-x86_64.exe and also from
http://download.osgeo.org/osgeo4w/osgeo4w-setup-x86_64.exe with the same result.
Grass alone start's OK. Configuration on the 1st start also OK.

And I can't find the "msys"-directory. Where is it?

On Mac it works.

THX, but to much preprocessing (My shapes are very dynamic, I can't process it
after every change).
I will try this: "Since QGIS 2.14 you can control the features rendering order
using an expression"

Is it also missing in the advanced interface and are you using localization
(eg. German UI instead of English)?

Hi Mike,

This is standard functionality - no plugin needed.

Have a look at the Placement tab of the label settings in the layer
properties. You can choose between parallel, curved and horizontal.
