Re: [Qgis-user] KMZ

Hi Lukas,

Make sure that on-the-fly CRS is enabled in QGIS, then set your KMZ layer CRS
to EPSG: 4326 first. Let’s see if it’s projected to the correct location.

[Qgis-user] Unable to use Import vector into PostGIS database (OGR)

2019-04-30 Per discussione iqnaulhaq
Hi,

I’m trying to import my shapefiles into PostGIS table using “Import Vector into
PostGIS database” in QGIS Processing toolbox, but it gave me error: “Error 1
Couldn’t fetch requested layer “”
I’m sure that all the connection parameters correct, and I can do the import
using pgshapeloader gui.

Is there any suggestions?

Thanks

Subject: [Qgis-user] Add a delimited text layer plugin for QGIS 3.0.3

Dear all,
I'm a new user,
I found a tutorial designed for 1.6.0 version of QGIS helpful. My QGIS version
is 3.0.3 though and some plugin names mentioned in the tutorial are a bit
different. Specifically, I'm finding it hard to pinpoint the plugins the
tutorial advised users to install. One such plugin is "Add Delimited Text Layer
plugin" and I couldn't find it in the version I'm having. It should have a
different name but can't find it. Could you please help me pinpoint this plugin
in 3.0.3 version as well as other plugins that are advised to be installed to
get started with creating a map.
Thanks for your time answering this and looking forward to hearing back from
you.
best,

AFAIK you can set the font size in General tab on Settings->Options and change
the font size parameter. But be advise this will change the entire QGIS font
size.

I received this question from a user and have not been able to find the answer.
Is it possible to customize the font color/size/boldness of the names that is
used in he Layer's panel? This user has some trouble with his eyes and the
light gray when a layer is not selected is difficult to see. He would probably
also want to increase the font size.

Thanks,

Calvin

Re: [Qgis-user] Extract x and y coordinates

Hi,

You can use field calculator and create two new columns (x and y), use $x and
$y functions for each column. I suggest to do this in your .kml first before
save it in .tab file.

I'm doing a short presentation on Open Source GIS software this Friday. My
audience are 99% arcgis users. I'd like to tell them about a couple WOW
features in QGIS that ESRI doesn't provide or is just a pain to do.

I have never used ArcGIS so I'm struggling. Any suggestions would be most
appreciated. If you can point me to a website that I can get some images from.

Sorry for the short notice, but I was just added to the agenda moments ago.

Thanks in Advance,
Clifford

I know in the likes of ArcGIS Online there is a function that allows you to

function was available within QGIS/FOSS software.
