[Qgis-user] multiple RasterLite layers
Hi all. Thanks to a recent fix by Jurgen, now it is possible to load SpatiaLite/RasterLite databases with more than one raster layer inside. Caution: you need GDAL =1.7 to be able to do so. Great thing, thanks a lot to Jurgen, and to Sandro Furieri for developing SpatiaLite/RasterLite. All the best. -- Paolo Cavallini: http://www.faunalia.it/pc ___ Qgis-user mailing list Qgis-user@lists.osgeo.org http://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/qgis-user
[Qgis-user] GDALTools
Hi list I have just opened ticket #2941 in QGIS trac, which brought me to the following dilemma (I had asked this in the past, but I still think it is relevant): now that the GDALTools plugin is integrated into the main QGIS app, and even has a 'Raster' menu, would it make sense to open tickets against it in the 'raster' section of the trac, or in the 'python plugins' section? I guess this question also applies to fTools. Since some users might not even realize that GDALTools is a python plugin in the first place, maybe it makes more sense to use the 'rasters' section in trac... Still, for now, I used the 'python plugins' section. I am just asking this because usually before opening a ticket I scan the list of active tickets to verify if my issue has already been filed, and it would be nice to be able to narrow it down to a single category ;) Also, I'd like it to be really easy for the devs to immediately see which bugs they have waiting for them to squash! Re: [Qgis-user] terrain profile
The crash was caused by coordinate (length, height) picker in the graph. I've fixed it in v 0.2.2 disabling the picker on Windows systems. Hopefully it isn't very painful regression. ___ Qgis-user mailing list Qgis-user@lists.osgeo.org http://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/qgis-user

Additional information is that the crash occurs ONLY when the cursor is moved into the graph area. That is, on linux the cursor has the x y values presented. Thank for the investigation! I can't stop it crashing, so disabled the coordinate tracker on Windows. Re: [Qgis-user] MRsid/ ECW
I have managed to get mrsid files to open in Qgis1.5 here is what I did: 1. install qgis 1.4 Encaladus from here http://linfiniti.com/downloads/QGIS-1.4.0-1-No-GrassSetup.exe 2. use the osgeo4w installer and install the following libraries: gdal-mrsid, gdal 16-mrsid, gdal-ecw, gdal 16-ecw and gdal17 3. copy the following dlls - NSCEcw.dl, NCScnet.dll, NCSutil.dll from the installation path of QGIS1.4 (c:\Program Files\Quantum GIS Enceladus\bin 4. paste these dlls into the bin directory of your osgeo4w installation. You should then be able to open mrsid files. Note: this seems not to work with the nightly builds of Qgis. Re: [Qgis-user] MRsid/ ECW
Hi, For ecw files, you can use The windows installer with GRASS http://kcubeconsulting.com/download.php 1. Download Microsoft C Runtime Libraries http://www.kcubeconsulting.com/download/vcredist_x86.exe and install the runtime libraries 2. Download the Quantum GIS installer and follow the on screen instructions 3. Copy the 4 dll for ecw in c:\windows\system32 (NCSEcw.dll, NCSUtil.dll, NCSEcwC.dll, NCScnet.dll from Earth Resource Mapping/ECW SDK/bin) It works on WinXP : I've tested it on a new computer Good luck JC Le 03/08/2010 17:44, Doug Lane a écrit : I am reposting this from the forums since I haven't gotten anything yet, and am still not sure what I have done wrong Ok so I have attempted to follow the directions in the release for the ecw/mrsid install of Qgis 1.5. BTW the script used to create the standalone installer ms-windows/osgeo4w/creatensis.pl is already prepared to include those packages if the DLLs are supplied. Still the licensing isn't clear. That's also why the DLLs aren't included in OSGeo4W in the first place. And moreover the ECW license is probably going to change again with the next no-yet-released 4.1 version of ECW. [Qgis-user] georeferencing does not display raster after zooming of window resizing
Having had no anwsver so far, I update the issue. On QGIS tethys under Windows XP and georeferencing plugin, I meet trouble when I zoom or resize the window. Just the reference points are displayed and no longer the raster. At this stage, the only way to get out of that is to save the points, quit the georeferencing tool, and open a new session. So in brief, zoom in and out, resizing window are note usable, since the raster is not refreshed and the window displays reference points only. [Qgis-user] Announcing ProfileFromLine plugin
Hello list I have uploaded a new python plugin called ProfileFromLine. This plugin will generate points along lines according to a user specified interval and will optionally sample loaded raster(s) at each new point's location. Each new point will keep all the attributes of its originating line, plus any raster values that it had been asked to sample. In addition, every point will have a distinct attribute and also an attribute that stores the distance along its line since the beginning (the line's starting point being according to the original digitizing direction). the new points layer is created using the 'memory' provider, and the user must manually save it to disk. this seemed like a nice option, because you can choose your desired format upon saving. The plugin depends on the shapely python package, so you must have it installed and accessible on your system. This shouldn't be much of a problem on linux and windows (it is available on the osgeo4w packages as well). since I don't have a Mac I wouldn't know how easy it is to get shapely installed, but I trust it to be just as easy ;) I hope that it is useful. Please drop me a message through this mailing list if you have any suggestions. -- ___ ___ __ Ricardo Garcia Silva ___ Qgis-user mailing list Qgis-user@lists.osgeo.org http://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/qgis-user
