Re: [Qgis-user] SAGA GIS dependency problem
Hi Matteo, The problem is that ubuntugis-unstable provides GDAL 1.10, which has changes in libgdal package. Until GDAL 1.9.x, this package was called libgdal1. Starting from GDAL 1.10.x, this package became libgdal1h. Most likely, SAGA 2.0.8 that is in ubuntugis-unstable was compiled with GDAL 1.9.x, taking libgdal1 as dependency. And Johan PPA should be under the same conditions. Thus, there are two alternatives. Or downgrading to GDAL 1.9.x (for example, with ubuntugis-stable PPA), or we have to wait for someone to compile SAGA with GDAL 1.10.x. Re: [Qgis-user] Oracle - QGIS connection
Hello Jonathan, How about setting the environment variable ORACLE_HOME to c:\admin\apps\oracle32\product\11.2.0\client_1 and TNS_ADMIN to the location of the directory that contains tnsnames.ora? That is what I did and it works fine. In the past I also had to rename the oci.dll (or you can remove it) from c:\osgeo4w\bin because it conflicted with the oci.dll in %ORACLE_HOME%. Btw, we are connecting to Oracle 11.2.0 using OS authentication. Re: [Qgis-user] Couldn't load plugin contour due an error when calling its classFactory() method
HI Paulo I'm not familiar with the MacBook and configuring QGIS on it, but the problem is that the contour plugin uses a python module called matplotlib, and that in turn uses a python module called pyparsing. The error message is saying that the pyparsing module is missing. Unfortunately I cannot help further than that. The pyparsing module is available at http://pyparsing.wikispaces.com/Download+and+Installation but how you install it depends on how your python installation is set up. When you have fixed this there may be another couple of python dependencies you may need to install, listed at http://matplotlib.org/users/installing.html Good luck Chris From: Paulo Gali Macedo [pgmac...@fc.up.pt] Sent: 25 September 2013 03:28 To: QGIS User Subject: [Qgis-user] Couldn't load plugin contour due an error when calling its classFactory() method Hi Everybody, I ' m a newcomer to QGIS and I'm finding so problems in running some of its plugins. Re: [Qgis-user] Couldn't load plugin contour due an error when calling its classFactory() method
My matplotlib package has a last-minute manual install for pyparsing explained in the readme. When I have time I'll try to automate it. The pyparsing module is available at http://pyparsing.wikispaces.com/Download+and+Installation but how you install it depends on how your python installation is set up. [Qgis-user] Matplotlib not found with Qgis 2.0.1-1 OS X
Hi, I recently upgraded Qgis to William Kyngeburye's 2.0.1-1. It is telling me Could not find matplotlib module. Make sure matplotlib is installed. I get this message on both my MacPro running OS X Lion and my MacBook Pro running Mountain Lion. Is there a simple fix for this? Also, on my 13 inch MacBook Pro, It is telling me I have four invalid plugins: mapserver_export, osm, plugin_installer, and Processing. When I click on them, all of the three buttons (Upgrade all, Uninstall plugin, and Reinstall plugin) are greyed, so I can't just uninstall them. Is there anything I can, or should, do with them? It gives me a path through the QGIS.app package, but I don't want to delete something and have it crash the program. Re: [Qgis-user] Matplotlib not found with Qgis 2.0.1-1 OS X
Install my matplotlib package. When you do that, make sure to read the readme - I discovered the pyparsing requirement at the last minute of packaging, so you need to install it in the Terminal. For the plugins, you may have leftovers from a previous 2.0 nightly dev build, the Mac installer sometimes doesn't remove old files. Try deleting QGIS from your Applications folder and reinstall. I have an update coming soon to fix some packaging problems, including bundling the required psycopg2. I don't know what the problem is with processing, it's a standard part of QGIS, can't be uninstalled, and can only be updated as a part of a QGIS installation. Maybe it says it's invalid because of other packaging problems (try the update when it's ready).
