[Qgis-user] Save As... from PostGIS layer ignores BBOX
Hi We are having an issue trying to save selected features from a PostGIS layer to a different format. The layer is very large (5.5 million polygons) and even with only one feature selected and the Extent set to Map View Extent QGIS hangs when trying to save to another file. It seems to be trying to process every feature in the layer rather than filtering the layer down using the bounding box first. Is this a bug or is the bounding box not used for this? [Qgis-user] Geometry functions like xat(0) in Processings field calculators
Can anybody tell me how to make field calculations inside a Processing Model using geometry functions? I would like to extract the coordinates of the start and ending points of polylines in a shapefile. Doing it manually in the field Calculator I would use xat(0), yat(0), xat(-1) and yat(-1). But in field calculator in Processing you can apparently not use the geometry functions. I have tried the Advanced Python field calculator and got as far as knowing I have have to write something like: value = $geom.??? [Qgis-user] polygon centroids
Hi QGIS users, I don't know if this question has been asked before. Can you help me create a syntax in field calculator to add in the attribute table the centroids coordinates for each or selected polygon features? I am using Qgis 2.2 Valmiera version in Windows.
