[Qgis-user] debian-nightly sid main last update 5 April 2015
I am using debian sid and have the debian-nightly repository in /etc/apt/sources.list as per QGIS download instructions. I used to receive regular nightly updates for the last year or so: However, the last one was on 5 April 2015. Is there a reason for no further nightly updates? As far as I know, I do not think there is a problem with my setup as I have not changed anything. Today, I removed any qgis package that is connected to a version earlier than 2.9.0, these packages were not automatically removed through the update process - my thinking was that perhaps reference to some earlier versions were preventing the updates. This did not work. Will the updates restart in the the near future, Any advice on the current situation will be much appreciated many thanks in anticipation Neil -- View this message in context: http://osgeo-org.1560.x6.nabble.com/debian-nightly-sid-main-last-update-5-April-2015-tp5204358.html Sent from the Quantum GIS - User mailing list archive at Nabble.com. ___ Qgis-user mailing list Qgis-user@lists.osgeo.org http://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/qgis-user

Anyway, forget what Sextante was (is?) for Gvsig. There it was both the toolbox and the algorithms, now it's the container of multiple algorithm sources (grass, saga, qgis itself, etc.). Re: [Qgis-user] [QGIS-UX] QGIS fonts in print composer
Hi Donovan, Thanks so much for looking into this. The problem is that certain weights and widths are not available at a given font size. So at font size 14 you might be able to use wide book but not news. If a text box is in a certain size and width/weight, and you change the font size, it will default into a different width/weight if the current one doesn't work with the new font size. The strange part is that all my colleagues and I are seeing different width/weight/font size availability. If you try using clan pro news in all font sizes and it doesn't change weight/width, I may just need to update my qgis version Sent from my iPhone On May 5, 2015, at 3:27 AM, Donovan Cameron sault@gmail.com wrote: Sarah, I haven't had any issues with the Clan Pro font you provided. Re: [Qgis-user] displaying raster data
Hi, This is simple... and then not so simple... There are no raster attribute table in QGIS. I imagine you mean a raster where, for example 1 = farm land, 2 = city This is not implemented :( (I think it is in Grass). The best way to get the unique values of a raster is to use the Grass r.report in the processing toolbox (you can play with r.stat also). I think your raster needs to be in integer for this to work. If it's not, you will get intervals I think. For this select raster/conversion/translate. Click on the yellow pencil and then use -ot Int16 switch. More info is you click on the help. http://www.gdal.org/gdal_translate.html http://grass.osgeo.org/grass70/manuals/r.report.html http://grass.osgeo.org/grass71/manuals/r.stats.html Hope this helps. That is easy with the spatial query plugin. BUT: Which polygones intersect with a buffer of X around my points... How can I do that without creating a new layer where I buffer my points? My points are not static, they change often, so creating a buffer layer would require also an update of the buffer layer. Too complicated (and source of errors!) to my taste...
