Hello ,

At the present moment I can not install QGIS 2.18.5 on Ubuntu 16.04
due to gdal-abi-2-1-3 missing library from official repositories.

When will this problem be solved ?
The previous versions are not available to install.
Please help !

Once upon a time, few years ago I gave a try on a GPS bluetooth app
using an Android cellphone.I was using Linux and I recall that I had
to configure the gpsd deamon. After bluetooth connection it was
just a matter to configure the connection in GPS Toos and all worked
without a glitch.

  Never tried again after that.

It seems that it fits completely the definition of an affine
transformation. There is a plugin with this name that should do the
magic.

I have some downloaded geologic map shapefiles that were digitized

their proper locations on georeferenced U.S. topo maps as well as on
Google, Bing, and ESRI online base map data. This is too much for datum
shift; the NAD27 to NAD83 transformation should offset coordinates about
90 m. I have determined that the correction involves a counterclockwise
rotation of ~1.4 degrees and not a simple translation. I have reviewed
the PROJ.4 documentation about using the 7-parameter 'towgs84' options
to add the rotation. I have not been able to get this working by trial
and error; the data plot out 150-200 km away from where they should be.
Questions:

(1) Do I need to input the rotation value as both Rx and Ry?
(2)The documentation says rotations are input as seconds of arc rather
than degrees, correct?
(3) How does the scaling parameter in towgs84 interact with the scale
factor k_0?

The towgs84 parameters are really ment for small rotations only. If you
have big rotations, think of using a custom oblique mercator transformation.

Hello;
In the Label Settings under Rendering there is a slider labeled Low
Weight- High Weight under Obstacles and a Check Box Discourage Labels
from Covering Features.
I don't want the labels to cover certain features on other layers but
nothing seems to change when I move the slider from Low to High and I was
wondering what exactly does it mean. Does it mean the Label Priority is
High thus it will cover features or is it the Priority of "Not Covering
Features". The tool tip doesn't say. If I want the Label to avoid features
do I move it to high or low?

Thanks;

[QGIS-it-user] QGIS-dev 32 bit non si avvia

2017-04-06 Thread Gabriela Osaci Costache
 Ciao a tutti!
Ho da qualche tempo questo problema: la versione di sviluppo non si apre dopo
l'installazione (impossibile trovare il punto di ingresso). Installato e
reinstallato tante volte su quattro portatili (sotto W10 32 bit e 64 bit
Grazie,Gabriela___

Salve a tutti,

[Qgis-user] Create a unique "Add layer" button

2017-04-06 Thread Stéphane Henriod
Dear all

on the Qgis-dev list, we are discussing the options of replacing all "Add

layer" button.

The discussion archive is here:
https://lists.osgeo.org/pipermail/qgis-developer/2017-April/047954.html

For this we opened a Gdoc to specify what is already available in Qgis

(maybe) new feature. Please feel free to contribute as well:
