Easy enough to set the project/data folders as read only, especially on 
a network. The software will work with this.

Depending on your OS you would set the permissions on the profile to suit.

Hi,
I would do a bug report https://trac.osgeo.org/gdal.  Have you tried fixing the 
geometry before exporting?  The problem could be in the tab file.  You could 
try to save in another format to see if the error is also reproduced.

la questione è molto complessa (accidentiaglisvizzeri). abbiamo chiesto

in due parole: GFOSS.it era nato, ormai eoni fa, proprio per questo.
purtroppo la dirigenza in un certo periodo ha deciso che non andava

tecnicamente sarebbe possibile costituire un'associazione italiana, ecc.
io ho già dato, se qualcuno ci tiene si faccia avanti.

Un elemento è formato da geometria + attributi.

Salve a tutti,
oggi noto, grazie ad un utente di questa lista (un italo-messicano - Luca)
che la funzione get_feature ha un descrizione che potrebbe portare ad errori
in quanto è stato tradotto, probabilmente, feature in geometria;

nella descrizione della funzione si legge (calcolatore di campi):
funzione get_feature:
Restituisce la prima geometria di un vettore che corrisponde a un
determinato valore di attributo.

se fosse cosi allora dovrebbe funzionare (ipotizzando un vettore
poligonale): 

area(get_feature('layer', 'attribute', value)) invece da errore;

funziona, invece (che conferma la mia ipotesi)

area(geometry(get_feature('layer', 'attribute', value)))

quindi la traduzione dovrebbe essere (IMHO dovrebbe rimanere feature):
Restituisce la prima tupla/riga/record di un vettore che corrisponde a un
determinato valore di attributo.

In pratica prendo uno shp qualsiasi, metto in Description e Name i due campi
interessati:
- in Qgis2.14.x OK (addirittura nel kml mi aggancia tutti i campi in coda
dello shp sorgente)
- in Qgis2.18.18 e Qgis3, i due campi Description e Name sono vuoti.

Hi!

It's a bit of a workaround if you were planing to insert the numeric scale
in the middle of other text, but you can add a scalebar and change it's
style to numeric.

Ok, the problem with 2.18 is a bit different. It is limited to concurrent use 
of two QGIS 
instances, and only occurs for some gpkgs:

1. Run QGIS 2.18, go to the Browser and expand a directory containing a gpkg.
2. Run another QGIS instance and load any layer from that gpkg.
3. The loop begins: the wal and shm files are repeatedly created and removed 
from the 
disk, and the expanded branch is being refreshed.

Your fixes of course didn't help this particular case. I don't observe it in 
QGIS 3, so I'm 
leaving it as it was. Furthermore, I didn't manage to reproduce it with every 
gpkg.

rimpiango ftools e le sue funzionalità, mi sono dovuto scaricare qgis 2.14.x 
per convertire uno shp in kml con attributi in name e description al suo 
interno, cosa che non è possibile fare con 2.18 e 3 a causa dei bugs di gdal...

[Qgis-user] How retrieve the scale value in a composer report

Hi,
I need to produce some reports using the composer and the Atlas.
In each of them I need to add the scale value.

So I try adding a textbox and the value $scale.
Unfortunately I see it return always 0 value.
This is confirmed in the help where is write that the $scale not
alwaysreturn the real scale value, but in some context it return 0 value.

There is some other choice to have the scale value in a composer+atlas
output ?

I'm using the qgis 2.18.
