[Qgis-user] Qfield: adding new columns to a postgis table

2018-07-04 Thread Ville Koivisto
Good morning to all,

I've created a Qfield project for my colleague, who's in the field updating
a dataset as we speak. Edited layers are postgis tables that I've been able
to edit successfully from my office's PC so far.

But today I hoped to create new columns for a couple of my postgis tables.
This was successful for myself, but for my colleague in the field with
Qfield, changes didn't occur. Now I'm wondering if this is something I could
fix or if Qfield isn't coded to display columns which were added after the
initial packaging.

Any idea anyone?

Cheers,

I have a question, how can I apply the geoprocessing tools "symmetric

need to apply the function to several polygon inside the one same layer. Or if
there is another function that make  this operation.

Re: [Qgis-user] Converting X Y Coordinates to Latitude/Longitude

2018-07-04 Thread Tudorache, Marian
Nicholas method is about transforming coordinates from a CRS to another one.

QGIS also has the possibility of enable on the fly CRS transformation.

In both cases you should know the CRS for vectorized historic map.

QGIS will do the best to generate a custom CRS and associate to your data but
it does not work all the time.

Do you know the CRS for vectorized historic map?

To be accurate during coordinate transformation you need to associated the
original data with a CRS.

We had an issue with not georeferenced data. When we loaded the vectorized
data, QGIS assigned a weird CRS. After we <> to GRS80 the area was
shifted.
We knew the area was somewhere in Vancouver and the area was over a
stereographic projection. I knew the point of tangency and I created a custom
CRS which was associated to my original data.

After this tweak we were able to overlay precisely the area where it belongs.

I hope this helps.

Hi David,

I’am an archaeologist working in Québec. If you vectorized the map in a local
CRS, all you need to do is do a « save as » and change the CRS (coordinate
reference system) that is in Longitude Latitude. If your map is not
georefenrenced (that is, you just scanned the map and did not use a CRS, that
is more complicated but not impossible. I usually fixe that do in a CAD but I
am sure you can do it in QGIS. We could talk if you want and I could help you
out figured the next steps and steps to avoid this problem (like georefereing
the raster map before you start) .Send me an email directly.

You could look at this also.

I'm working on a historical GIS project to remap an area of Albany, NY
demolished for urban renewal in 1962. I've succeeded in vectorizing a historic
map of the area (~1960), but the coordinates are not in lat/long form. I see
that there are plugins for converting tables of specific coordinates, but I
want to convert the entire map continuously.

This area no longer exists--all the buildings and streets were cleared for the
Empire State Plaza state capitol complex.

My end goal is to use the rectified map as a way to geotag historic photographs
of particular buildings.

Is there a way to convert the coordinates in a continuous fashion for the
entire region?

Thanks for your help.

[QGIS-it-user] Classificazione semiautomatica di foto aeree

2018-07-04 Thread Giuseppe Cillis
Salve a tutti,
mi sto applicando tra QGIS e GRASS per applicare una classificazione
semiautomatica di foto aeree.
In pratica vorrei usare la combinazione dei moduli grass nel processing di
QGIS; ovvero i.cluster e i.maxlink. Il mio problema è che con i.cluster non
riesco a creare la "spectral signature" che poi deve essere usata nel
secondo modulo. Come mai?
In pratica utilizzo due foto aree ed ho lasciato (Come prova) i parametri
preimpostati però alla fine del processo (Anche se non mi da' errori) ,
viene creato solo un report finale e nessun file della firma spettrale.
Come mai?
Grazie in anticipo

Sorry - missed something here. Because you're directly using the output from
the child algorithm as your algorithm's final output, you should also pass the
OUTPUT parameter value direct to the child algorithm. So in

 'OUTPUT': 'memory:'

should be

 'OUTPUT': parameters[self.OUTPUT]

[Qgis-user] Is there a way to create automated tests inside my own processing models?

2018-07-04 Thread Carlos Cámara
Dear all,

I am just starting with QGIS' processing to create some complex model which
makes quite a lot of changes and I would like to know if there is a way to
test my own model while launching it, so if the tests fail, I can get a
notification and I will know that something went wrong before I realize too
late and I have to lose any changes I made after executing the model with
unexpected results.

*Example*:

I am doing several joins and spatial joins. I learnt the hard way that
after triggering several times my model, every time I was joining layers,
new fields were added with a _1 appended to them in order not to overwrite
the previously created fields by mistake when I repeated the model. It
would be great to have some test that either checked all the layer's fields
or counted its number and, if they weren't as expected, triggered an
alarm/dialog box or created a log file.

Hi list

I would like to make a report (atlas) iterating two layers where:

1. Layer of level 2 administrative boundary is iterated (with atlas feature)
and shows it as a no filled polygon, with out label; and else polygons as
white filled with labels; and

2. Layer of administrative level 3 boundary is iterated too (with atlas
feature), and shows labels only in polygons that are intersected or are within
the active level 2 boundary.

How can be this done in QGIS 3.2? I was succsefull in QGIS 2.18, but now it
doesn't work. I've tryed rules as:

 intersects(@atlas_geometry,$geometry )

contains(geometry(@atlas_feature),centroid( $geometry ) ) is true

but nothing.

I'm tring this because of non desired labels of level 3 boundary. One solutiion
is using white labels that are fused with white polygons of level 2 boundary...
but it is plan B.

Any advice please?

Cheers!
