[Qgis-user] It's not too late to register for the QGIS hackfest in Zanzibar 22 August 2018 - 26 August 2018

2018-07-25 Thread Tim Sutton
Hi All

Just another request: If you are coming to the hackfest in Zanzibar, please add
your details to the wiki page including your arrival and departure dates. If
you are not listed on that page you may not be given food!

https://github.com/qgis/QGIS/wiki/DeveloperMeetingZanzibar2018

From the wiki page it seems most will only actively participate from the 23rd.
Unless there is a massive increase in the number of attendees, we plan to
organise the logistics as follows:

22nd - those that are already in Zanzibar we will hang out in the lounge at
Beyt-al-salaam hotel
23rd, 24th - we will meet in the conference room at Maru Maru hotel
25th - we will meet at the university campus - and the day will include a talk
open to students about the QGIS project.
26th - we will meet again at the Maru Maru hotel. Those taking the ferry to Dar
will need to be at the ferry station by max 2.30pm (a bit earlier is advised).
Make sure you are already checked out of your hotel in the morning.

If you need need any help while you are in Zanzibar , please contact Yves
Barthelemy (cell no +255 778 364437 or yvesbarthel...@gmail.com). Yves will be
on site from 21st August.

Whether or not you are attending the event, we are looking for sponsors for the
event to cover meals etc. If you are able to sponsor it please contact Lene
Fischer at l...@ign.ku.dk.

Looking forward to seeing you in Zanzibar!

Regards

Tim

Hello, thank you very much, I am going to look for the function of
separating the values of comma, in column. I have passed the file to
csv format but in the same way the coordinates column remains united in
a single field with X and Y and I can not plot it in QGIS, thanks.

Hi Eddison,

Save the data as a .txt or .CSV file

Open as Delimited Text and Choose Custom Delimiters. Then choose ‘Comma’

Then you can add X and Y columns

Hello, I used ODK Collector connected with Google Drive to perform field
surveys.

As you can see, the X and Y coordinates are contained in the same column
when using the ODK Collector APP, connected to the Google Drive Sheet.
How can I take that to QGIS? I have tried to use the function Add Layer
of Delimited Text I can not do it since the coordinates are in the same
column.

Thank you

Eddison

[Qgis-user] having a problem downloading QGIS

2018-07-25 Thread fptennick

Hi All,

Can someone help me.

I am new to the group & unable to download the FULL programme.

I have captured SETUP but when I run SETUP it takes a very long time - now
over 12 hours - the last message I noted was that the overall had reached
78% of OSGeo4WSetup -

Downloading

sagaltr-2.3.2-3tar.bz2 from http://downlaod.osgeo.org/osgeo

12% (1228k/9904k) 10.0kB/s

then it hangs! Why?

Regards

Frank

[Qgis-user] Add processing script to toolbox

2018-07-25 Thread Reginald
Hi,

I'm trying to add some scripts to the toolbox of QGIS-versie
3.2.1-Bonn. Whatever I do to import the script in the toolbox fails.
I use the python icon that is in the menubar of Toolbox Processing.
I have run the scripts and they work with QGIS 3.21.
Any help?

Regards,

Do you have an url we can test?

Hi Chris,

Is this the plugin that you want? http://plugins.qgis.org/plugins/cadtools/
 ?

It seems there is no version for QGIS 3.0 or above yet. So, it won't be
available until it's ported to QGIS 3.

Best regards.
