[Qgis-user] Help with Downloading on Mac

Hello,

I hope this is the right email. I'm brand new to QGIS and am not tech
savvy. I downloaded QGIS to my Mac, but the computer will not open it
because the application cannot be scanned for viruses.  My computer
told me to contact the developer - hence the email. Can you help me?

Hi,

Thanks for the tips everyone. I've added an expression to the Decoration 
Title that shows the date/time for each image in the format "2020-08-03 
14:00 UTC". This is the expression:


[% format_date((@animation_start_time + 
make_interval(hours:=(hour(@frame_duration) * 
@frame_number))),'-MM-dd HH:mm')%] UTC



There's probably a more efficient way of doing this but it works for me.

Hi Les,

You can add a "create option" for your conversion:

name: DECIMAL_PRECISION
value: 3

to round the values in your output.

QGIS uses the GDAL software for the conversions, and those options can 
be found in the GDAL documentations:

There's a "batch" option in the raster conversion dialog, which I have 
never used (cause I would write a script) but I hope you figure out how 
it works. :)

ciao a tutti, scusate il ritardo della risposta ma sono rientrato oggi.
rispondo a federico per punti, dando il mio parere.

1) ok per evento in presenza nel 2021

2) ok evento virtuale che non farei il 4 settembre, ma in autunno.
se vogliamo mantenere la struttura proposta da federico al momento che io
sappia la piattaforma che permette di creare sotto stanze a partire da una
stanza madre è Big Blue Button [1]. è utilizzata dal politecnico di torino
per le lezioni e permette trasferimento file, condivisione di schermi,
condivisione di una lavagna su cui tutti possono scrivere e creare sotto
stanze.
non ho idea della complessità di installazione o gestione. so che è
"facilmente" integrabile con moodle, piattaforma libera per la gestione di
corsi e formazione  distanza.
nel caso in cui si valuti che l'onere della installazione eccetera sia
eccessivo, ricordo che è ancora attivo il fenomenale progetto promosso dal
GARR di videoconferenza [2] i cui server aderenti sono basati su Jitsi o
Multiparty Meeting, e sono esplicitamente aderenti al GDPR

3) mi piace la scaletta e per quanto riguarda una presentazione di spicco,
sono dell'idea che non debba essere per forza "tecnica". per questo
approfittando anche del fatto che il chair del psc parla italiano,
chiederei a marco bernasocchi una presentazione sulla strategia del nuovo
psc.
nel qgis day a firenze dell'anno scorso, paolo cavallini ha presentato lo
"stato di qgis" e mi pare questa una buona prassi, in analogia con la
relazione sullo stato dell'Unione che annualmente il presidente degli stati
uniti d'america fa al congresso, nella quale "descrive sia le condizioni
generali della nazione sotto un profilo sociale, economico e politico, sia
l'agenda governativa corrente, i progetti per il futuro e le priorità" [3]

4) sulla scelta degli argomenti, aprirei una pagina wiki su qgis.it per la
raccolta delle proposte

For a project I’m working on I need to translate a collection of terrain tiles from .adf to .asc format. When I look at the source data the height values are at most to 3 decimal places (millimetres effectively). orari ben definiti per permetterci di girare. So che non è lo stesso
rispetto che farlo in presenza, mi sento di dire che ci abbiamo provato
fino all'ultimo ma è ancora troppo rischioso al momento.

Ci sono a questo punto delle domande che faccio:

Manteniamo come data sabato 4 settembre? o preferiamo farlo più avanti?
io proverei a tenere un giorno concentrato, ma se vogliamo possiamo
sparpagliare gli eventi durante la settimana.
Che tematiche vogliamo affrontare online?

Volendo si potrebbe anche pensare ad una sorta di plenaria, dove magari
abbiamo un invitato forte dal PSC di QGIS o comunque una qualche "QGIS
Superstar", vi viene in mente qualcuno a cui potremmo chiedere?

14:00-16:00  discussioni nelle stanze tematiche
16:00-17:30 discussione nelle stanze tematiche
17:30-18:30  stanza comune, aperitivo online di saluti

Per ogni stanza è previsto un moderatore della stessa, io mi posso occupare
della "regia" generale e della creazione delle stanze etc.
Eventualmente possiamo anche aggiungere la domenica se vediamo che abbiamo
interventi da fare o da recuperare.

grazie per gli aggiornamenti e l'impegno Federico.
Farlo live compresso sarebbe comunque bello, ma posso anche capire che chi
viene un pò più distante faccia fatica ad organizzarsi per un solo giorno...
farlo da remoto è un pò limitante per il tipo di evento...ma si può
provare...magari creando qualche stanza tematica...perderemo la vicinanza,
ma almeno ci sentiremo/vedremo scambiandoci qualche idea/necessità...
Magari spostandolo anche un pò piu avanti di qualche settimana se dobbiamo
riorganizzare la cosa...
