Re: [Qgis-user] [X] Re: Trying to use the v.split to break down a Polyline into 2 point segment to add feet label.

2020-12-11 Thread Kirk Schmidt

Hi Mark:

The issue appears to be with the group permissions within your network
that is creating the issue.   The routine starts, run into a write
issue, then shuts down.  I suspect it is write permission to the
local\temp folder.

what great news to finish the week with,
Google as part of their involvement in the Open-Source Security Foundation
(OpenSSF) has devised the "Criticality Score" as a means of judging crucial
open-source projects [3].

and guess what, QGIS is in the top 10 for the C++ most critical projects,
along with projects like Tensorflow, Ceph, Bitcoin and Electron. In the C
category, you've projects like Git ant the Linux kernel, OpenSSL... [1][2]

What to I say besides wow and thanks a lot to every single community member
involved in this amazing project!

you (and QGIS) rock!

But as I said, I can fix the error if the file opencl.dll is present in the

[Qgis-user] Using ismple pyqgis scripts

2020-12-11 Thread qgis-user

I have some simple scripts that I use on various projects. These
typically act on the active layer and thus require no input from the
user. I'm looking for a simple single-click way to to execute these.
Obviously if they are open in the editor window of the python
console, I can run them, but that requires keeping them open in the
console. I could make them into processing scripts, but those
typically call for user input.* I could attach them to the menus,
but that seems overkill and litters the menus when they're not
needed. How do others deal with scripts like this?

* Is there a way to write a processing script that doesn't display
the window for user input? Leaving an empty initAlgorithm still
produces a dialog with no inputs.

[Qgis-user] QGIS Server error log

2020-12-11 Thread Thomas Schüttenberg
...some further investigations on this:
Checking for 'sip' in the OSGeo4W installer I only found the lib sip-qt5
(v4.19.14-1) already installed.

Regarding the ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'qgis' (the second one):
Seems there is a misinterpretation of some of the Python Paths, e.g.
'D:\\gdi\\qgisServer\x07pps\\qgis/./python' IMHO should be like
'D:\\gdi\\qgisServer\\apps\\qgis/./python'

This path origiantes from the environment variable PYTHONHOME
"D:\gdi\qgisServer\apps\Python37" in %OSGEO4W%\httpd.d\httpd_qgis.conf
Although the backslashes become escaped with '\' a misinterpretation of '\a'
(at the beginning of 'apps') happens.

Simply exchanging '\' with '/' in PYTHONHOME modifies the log displayed path to
'D:/gdi/qgisServer/apps/qgis/./python', but the python support is still
disabled. The remaining ModuleNotFoundError[ is now]: No module named
'qgis.PyQt'

How to find/set the valid python path?

BTW, subsequent installation of lib pyqt5 did not fix the issue.

Still no clue about python support for QGIS server, but now it's weekend!

Re: [Qgis-user] ERROR COLLING QGIS.CORE IN PYSCRIPTER

2020-12-11 Thread Richard Duivenvoorde
Normally you use one of the bat files to set all appropriate paths for python?

Like in the osgeo4w dir there is (with me):
- python-qgis-dev.bat
- python-qgis-ltr.bat
- python-qgis.bat

Only the first one is failing with me. The others 'just work'?

Must be something with python packaging?

@devs: could this be gdal related?
(/me not knowing what he is doing but if I throw _core.py on depends.exe I
see no gdal in the list of dll's... ??
Note that the same ("import qgis.core") IS working in qgis-dev itself...

Regards,

Richard Duivenvoorde
