il manuale di v.distance è comunque disponibile online:

Leggendolo, puoi verificare che la o le colonne in cui memorizzare i dati
devono essere create prima dell'esecuzione del tool v.distance anche usato
direttamente con GRASS: "The upload column(s) must already exist."

[Qgis-user] Qgis does not start after win10 update

I, too, have been unable to launch QGIS since the recent win10 update.  
The message I get is


 "Could not load qgis_app.dll . . . The specified module could not 
be found. . . .  Check C:\ProgramFiles\QGIS3.10\bin\qgis-ltr-bin.env  
for correct environment paths"


I looked at the .env file, where qgis_app.dll    isn't mentioned, but 
there is a line that says


   "PATH=C:\PROGRA~1\QGIS 3.10\apps\qgis-ltr\bin; . . .[more paths] "

I verified that qgis_app.dll    is in C:\ProgramFiles\QGIS 
3.10\apps\qgis-ltr\bin


Does this mean the "missing"  dll is where it should be?

   I would welcome any advice.

Excellent, I hadn’t tried it since 3.16, will try again.
Unfortunately the problem with using interpolation in model builder still seems 
like it might be difficult to fix.

I usually convert the contours or breaklines into a point layer and then 
generate a dem from that.  This is not a precise methodology but it 
would depend on what you are trying to do and the precision of the 
underlying data.

sarebbe utilissimo capire come si fa.
Usare la conversione a vettoriale puntuale non mi convince in quanto
spesso se si fanno analisi ed elaborazioni di DTM si deve anche
provvedere a cambiare sia la mappa stessa, sia proprio il tipo di
mappa e quindi dovrei rifare l'operazione su 10 raster con dimensioni
sempre abbastanza rilevanti quindi poi mi troverei con un set di dati
un po' pesante. Non è nulla se si lavora da soli, ma quando ci si deve
scambiare i dati diventa un problema.
Comunque ogni suggerimento è utile, soprattutto riga e colonna! :-)

sii anch'io ho pensato una cosa del genere.
la premessa è che il raster sia ad una banda, per esempio un dtm.
occorre trasferire l'informazione del pixel ad un vettoriale puntuale

funziona, certo, ma forse per un uso "locale" e sporadico.
Altro sarebbe poter etichettare il raster o, nella simbologia, invece 
che un colore od una sfumatura di colore poter rappresentare il valore.
io mi son fatto un programmino python che legge un ascii grid e fa uno 
shapefile poligonale (ogni poligono è una cella), tanto per dire.

Ciao Valentina,
grazie mille della risposta.
Io cercavo un tool che mi mostri a video, senza cliccare, direttamente
il valore nelle celle visualizzate. Praticamente si veda una griglia
che identifica i pixel ed all'interno, oltre al colore, scritto anche
il valore. Dici che questo si possa settare nelle opzioni di
visualizzazione?
La visualizzazione di riga e colonna va benissimo anche nell'info tool
o in un altro tool che l'utente usa a richiesta cliccando.

Esistono strumenti di questo genere in QGIS?

Buongiorno Silvia,
i file raster sono immagini e, a differenza dei vettoriali, non hanno una
tabella associata con righe e colonne.
Però sono suddivisi in celle/pixel (e la risoluzione - cioè la dimensione
delle celle - dipende da come sono stati creati), quindi se vuoi
visualizzare il valore di una cella del raster basta selezionare il
pulsante "i"-identify e cliccare sul raster.
Volendo visualizzare i valori sulla mappa devi "giocare" con la simbologia
e, ad esempio, assegnare al raster una scala di grigi/colore. I diversi
colori ti compariranno in legenda, non so se esiste un modo per farli
comparire sulla mappa (tipo labels, ma non credo).
Sulla simbologia dei raster sono sempre un po' in difficoltà anch'io quindi
chiedo a qualcun altro se ci può dare alcuni suggerimenti!

[Qgis-user] 3D view broken in 3.16?

Hi!
Has there been a significant change in underlying 3D libraries for 3.16?
When people ask I use to claim that QGIS does not need any particular
hardware to run, even if more RAM and high resolution screens are always an
advantage. But that goes for any software, and is more standard that it
used to be.
But now my trusted HP ProBook 4530s (2011) laptop refuses to display any 3D
views from QGIS. This goes for both the ThreeJS plugin and QGIS 'native' 3D
view. The latter paints an image, but out of zoom and scale, and it cannot
be moved or rotated.
I have the latest (2016) drivers for the built in Intel GPU and see no
possible settings to play with. I have had no problems with this up until
3.14.

[QGIS-it-user] Campo "distanza" richiesto da v.distance in Processi

Ultimamente, per delle elaborazioni ambientali, sto usando spessissimo lo
strumento v.distance tramite Processi di QGIS (e devo dire con
soddisfazione, dovendo, ogni volta, definire la distanza tra un insieme di
punti e vari poligoni, in modo che per ogni punto venga indicata solo la
distanza con il poligono a lui più vicina e non la distanza con gli altri
poligoni più distanti, e credo che, tra i tanti strumenti analoghi
disponibili su QGIS, v.distance sia quello che lo fa meglio).
Nell'impostare il pannello degli input di v.distance ogni volta mi viene
chiesto il nome del campo (colonna) della tabella attributi del layer di
punti nel quale v.distance andrà poi a scriversi le varie distanze. Ne
consegue pertanto che ogni volta, prima di lanciare v.distance, devo creare
preventivamente una colonna nella tabella attributi del layer di punti che
poi sarà sovrascritta da v.distance con i suoi dati.
A tal riguardo mi chiedevo se c'è un modo (io non l'ho trovato) per dire a
v.distance, (usato tramite Processi di QGIS), di crearsi da solo il campo
(colonna) nella Tabella attributi del layer di punti (e che poi andrà a
popolare dei dati che elaborerà).
Immagino che ciò, se usassi v.distance non tramite Processi di QGIS ma
tramite GRASS in QGIS, sia possibile perchè ricordo che tempo fa lessi sul
manuale di GRASS  l'uso di questo comando e vidi che era pieno di
"optional" ( -a, b, ecc.) e, quindi, presumo che consenta di fare anche
quanto in questione

e magari anche di visualizzare il valore del raster in mappa con una
griglia che delimiti i pixels?
