Re: [Qgis-user] Two LAZ file possible issues iwth some new data we received to processs

2023-02-16 Thread Mike Stanton via QGIS-User
Thanks, Even! I will have to do it when I am on the other side of the firewall
tomorrow. I was trying to be economical and bundle two issues together. I can
get the data from the header of the LAZ file and also from the properties of
the QGIS Project then.

The other problem is that QGIS tells me I don’t have a CRS for the images and

Can you paste the exact CRS WKT string ? Though I doubt it is related with the
200 file limit issue

[Qgis-user] Using qgis with a 4k screen and a HD screen.

2023-02-16 Thread Nicolas Cadieux via QGIS-User
Hi,

Seems like QGIS adjusts the GUI settings based on my 4K high resolution
screen. When I move the windows over to the HD 1080 screen, Icon size and
font size needs to be adjusted in the settings but the processing toolbars
and layer Styling toolbars remain chunky. I notice they seem to take into
consideration the scaling of the main screen even if QGIS starts on the
secondary HD screen.

Is there a GUI setting that could help and that I am missing? Is there any
way I can make these changes on the fly when QGIS is moved from one screen
to the other?

Thanks

Hi,

We are adding Virtual Point Cloud format and will be ready in QGIS later
this year (June 2023):
https://github.com/PDAL/wrench#virtual-point-clouds-vpc

This should address your issue. But meanwhile you can combine all your
files into a single COPC file.

Kind regards
Saber

Alright, I just realised I did before and it does not work either cause
I am in Wayland and some PyQT5 stuff are troubling. It works, for me,
now, like :

- install qgis-ltr via pacman or yay (working with EndeavourOS here)

- install in a virtual environment Python 3.9

- run qgis from inside this environment to find this version which is
compatible

2023-02-16 Thread Jonathan Rabenasolo via QGIS-User
I mean to assign file permissions to the actual file in my desktop. For
example, I want other people to be able to see the data in a QGIS file WHITOUT
the permissions of editing it. So me and other admins will be able to edit the
file, for example to add a location for a job.

It's like to allow editing just for some specific users, because we all use
the same QGIS file and I want people to only be able to view all the job
locations and informations but not editing it.

Doesn't assigning corresponding file permissions do the job?
