[Qgis-user] LOSS OF DATA AFTER DELETING DUPLICATE GEOMETRIES
Hi, I used MMQGIS to delete duplicate geometries. After deleting, I saved the file using a pre-existing name, overwrote the file and opened it. The file was blank. What could have gone wrong? I have lost all the data/records in the old file. The attribute table was blank and the file fise 1kb. How do I recover my records? Bernard K. Ngoruse,MSc.,Reg. [Qgis-user] Version 2.2 Valmiera with SQL Server
Hello friends I'm using QGIS 2.2 Valmiera on a Windows 7 environment with SQL Server 2012 holding the data and I'm quite happy about how QGIS displays the data. The connection to SQL Servre goes via ODBC. As in my project QGIS is used to present data than to create or modify them, I use SQL-Server views as the underlying data reference which works fine and fast. However I've got one serious problem that is when I use the Open Attribute Table on a layer it will show the exact number of records, but the record content is always the same, probably repeating the content of the first record found instead of showing the individual contents (see ccreenshot attached). I thought this might be a 2.2 problem meanwhile fixed and installed QGIS 2.6 by using the existing .qgs file from 2.2. But after that many layers (not all) lost there connection to the SQL Server database and I'm unable to connect them. Furthermore using Open Attribute Table crashes on layers from SQL Server. By this mail I hope to get answers on: 1. How can I fix the 2.2 problem which displays repeatedly the same record when using Open Attribute Table on a layer from SQL Server 2. How can I migrate a .qgs mapping from 2.2 to 2.6 which is mainly filled with layers on SQL Server data.
