Puoi provare ad aggiungere la geometria selezionando il record e
utilizzando lo strumento aggiungi parte (add part).

Io vedo il canale telegram proprio come posto dove fare due chiacchiere da
bar in libertà. Non ha nessuna utilità per discussioni più strutturate,
perché non è indicizzata e non si può suddividere x argomenti. Insomma, è
caotica per natura e non mi pare richieda una regolamentazione così
stringente.
Per discussioni più istituzionali esiste la mailing list.

Cercavo qualcosa di più facilmente utilizzabile in fase di editing, ma già
questo mi aiuta molto.
Provo sia questa soluzione che quella legata all'azione proposta da Sergio.

Potrebbe essere una cosa utile proporre di inserire un pulsante nel menù di
editing avanzato che faccia il flip degli oggetti selezionati ?
Io la trovo una funzione di digitalizzazione fondamentale che mi piacerebbe
trovare sempre a portata quando faccio editing.
Cosa ne pensate ?

delle linee (mi pare si chiamasse swap o flip line). Il plugin non è ancora
stato migrato per la versione 3 diQGIS. Che voi sappiate eieste una
funzione nativa su QGIS che fa la stessa cosa, cioè il flip di una singola
linea o di una selezione direttamente in editing e senza creare un nuovo
layer ? Io ho cercato ma non ho trovato niente.

Provato adesso, ma il plugin funziona solo con layer geografici, i miei
figli sono semplici attributi.
La soluzione migliore che ho trovato al momento è utilizzare come f_key un
campo uuid, assegnato al padre come valore di default con la funzione
uuid(). In questo modo l'uuid è generato già da prima del salvataggio e può
essere ereditato dai figli.
Non è la soluzione ideale ma funziona.

[QGIS-it-user] relazioni 1-n nei form

Ciao a tutti,
avrei una domanda per i QGISssisti.

Ho 2 tabelle postgres in relazione uno a molti tra loro, collegate con la
classica fkey. Ho creato un form che contiene entrambe le tabelle
utilizzando le relazioni. Se creo un nuovo padre e contestualmente anche un
record figlio, qgis non riesce a salvare il figlio perché cerca di
assegnarli il valore stringa "nextval('gid_seq'::regclass), visto che la
chiave primaria del padre non è ancora stata assegnata". In pratica sono
costretto prima a salvare il padre (uscendo dal form) e solo dopo creare il
record figlio. Al momento ho risolto utilizzando un campo uuid come fkey ma
è solo una pezza, non il comportamento che mi aspetterei in un form.
Mi sto perdendo qualcosa ?

[QGIS-it-user] Schedulare layout con atlas

qualcuno ha mai provato a schedulare la creazione di layout in serie con
ATLAS?

Pensavo di mettere a crontab l'avvio di QGIS e creare uno script python che
parta all'avvio del progetto, utilizzando funzione openProject()
Sapete se esiste qualcosa di già fatto ? Sgooglando non ho trovato niente.

Puoi aprilo con la versione a 32 bit di QGIS, sulla 64 non sono disponibili
i driver.
In alternativa esistono diversi programmi freeware per convertire gli mdb
in csv (ad es: per windows access2csv-0.9.1, per linux mdb-tools)

Certo, ho iniziato in questi giorni a fare qualche test sui bug aperti.
Al momento con l'aiuto di Giovanni Manghi sono riuscito a chiuderne diversi
.
Sono partito da quelli con priorità alta, spostandomi per categoria ,anche
se al momento mi sto muovendo abbastanza casualmente, cercando di capire
dal titolo se sono cose che posso testare.
Avete strategie migliori ?

Appena passo su quel bug, tra l'altro già ben descritto e commentato,  vi
faccio sapere.

Io lo compilo, così posso tenere diverse versioni installate.

Tra l'altro la versione pacchettizzata su linux aveva un baco per me
fastidioso, perché andava in crash se usavo form con codice python
all'interno.
Mi pare che il bug sia ancora aperto perché legato ad un problema sulle
librerie QT se ricordo bene.

no, ma in effetti avevo già installato precedentemente la 2.99, forse si

su questo è meglio che risponda Furieri, non vorrei dire strafalcioni, però
a quanto ne so in sqlite i tipi dati non sono definiti, è il provider che
si interfaccia con che decide come trattarli.
Ad esempio QGIS penso faccia uno scan dei dati al caricamento del layer
perché a seconda di quello che ci trova dentro assegna al campo il tipo
stringa/integer/real ecc..

2. come suggerisce sempre Furieri, mai usare SELECT * ma esplicitare sempre

dovrebbe essere export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$LD_LIBRARY_PA

ti conviene mettere tutto in uno script .sh insieme al comando per lanciare
qgis.

Ciao matteo.
Se vuoi integrare il tuo database in qgis ti conviene quasi sicuramente
passare ad un altra soluzione rispetto ad access: postgres/postgis o
sqlite/spatialite sono sicuramente i primi da valutare.
Utilizzerei gli odbc proprio solo come ultima risorsa o solo se per qualche
motivo non vuoi o puoi mettere le mani sul database access.
Ormai qgis ha tutto quello che ti può servire per gestire la parte di form.
L'unica cosa su cui potresti trovare ancora qualche limite è in parte la
reportistica.

In effetti il link è una funzionalità che sul vecchio AV risultava molto
utile e di cui a volte ne sento anch'io la mancanza.
Penso che la prima cosa sia aprire una feature request ben descritta. Se di
interesse comune si potrebbe finanziare con una raccolta fondi ad hoc,
magari tramite il gruppo QGIS Italia.

I've tried to run the same way but also my views are complex and I've a
huge number of view so it's a big deal to change all my views.
I think the issue should be considered a regression.
I've seen that the ticket was automatically assigned to Jurgen Fisher by
the system, I think as PostGIS Data Provider maintenancer.

Specifico che a quanto pare le regole su UPDATE e DELETE funzionano
correttamente, il problema è solo sulle INSERT.
La cosa strana e che l'errore parla di INSERT RETURNING e non di INSERT. Io
non uso nessuna clausola RETURNING nelle mie viste e tanto meno riesco a
crearla.

Vorrei avere una conferma o meno per capire se aprire un ticket.

Ciao a tutti,

a patire dalla versione 2.16 non riesco più ad editare viste postgres
tramite regole.
Lo stesso layer che con la versione 2.14 edito senza problemi, dalla 2.16
mi fa questo errore [0], come se la regola non esistesse.

Qualcuno si è già imbattuto nello stesso problema o ha la possibilità di
verificare ?

Ciao Marco,

la soluzione che proponi si chiama software commerciale. Il bello dello
sviluppo open è proprio che se qualcuno mettesse in atto questa soluzione
sarebbe relativamente facile eliminarlo !
La soluzione a mio avviso passa invece dalla sensibilizzazione delle
pubbliche amministrazioni e dei privati, che devono capire che trarrebbero
solo vantaggio dal finanziamento del software Open.
D'altronde in molte altre nazioni (non nella nostra purtroppo) gli
sviluppatori campando dignitosamente per lo sviluppo open, anche da Enti
pubblici.
Forse è il momento che anche da noi si inizi a utilizzarequesto modello.
Amedeo aveva iniziato a lavorare per preparare una sorta di "bollino" per
le aziende che contribuiscono allo sviluppo, non so a che punto stia il suo
lavoro.

altra possibilità e che tu abbia settato come opzione "Quando si carica un
layer senza SR: usa SR predefinito".
In quel caso un raster senza CR ti viene caricato con il SR da te indicato
senza ulteriori prompt. Questa non è comunque la configuazione di default
di QGIS, devi averla modificata tu precedentemente.

ok, you are right.

You can import your shapfiles into spatialite using dbmanager, then copy
the definitions of the first layer, add column to the other layer and then
export to shapefile.

why do you need the same geometry type in order to make a join ?
You just need one common field.

obvious.  Any help/advice much appreciated.

with geometry but no additional fields.   I would like to add the field
definitions from the first layer to the second layer, and then populate
with the appropriate data for that layer.

[Qgis-user] custo module in python console

Hi,

I try to load a custom module in qgis python console but without success.
I don't understand what I miss.

I put my python module into project folder (file is named test.py)

the module contain a function like this;
def pr():
print("hello")

when from Python console I've imported the module with "import test" I
didn' have any error and qgis find the module but I can't access to my
custom functions.

any hints ?

I continue my work and I discover another problem.I have a 3 level nested
form (granparent-parent and child).
If I don't use global variables when I select a record in child to parent
and then one in parent, QGIS raise an error:

I remove all global variables and now it work fine !

It remain just one problem, I add some code [0] connected with a button to
insert a filename in a field.
If use the button from single form all works fine but when I use it in from
the parent-child form the code start  lot of times (it seems one time for
every record in the table).

Sadly, after further test I discover that the crashes remain, so I think it
is a qgis bug and not a problem in my code.
The problem happens when I put my custom form into a subform widget
(QgsRelationEditorWidget). If I add a new record in the subform and I move
to another record using the left column QGIS crashes. It seems to be a more
general problem because the crash appears also when I add some simple
control that modify the object in the form.

I can open a ticket and add some test data.
If it is a minor bug and it could be resolved easily I really offer a pizza
and a beer to resolve it.

value of anoter combobox.
I have a first combo where I choose the region and a second with the
municipalities.
I need that the second combo shows only the municipalities of the choosed
region.
I tried to use use the widget "relationship value" with the a filter like
classe_munic = attribute($currentfeature, 'classe_munic') without any success.


Has anyone ever done something similar?

[Qgis-user] QGSrelationeditorwidget in custom form

Hi,

I'm using the QGSrelationeditorwidget in a custom form with qtcreator.
It works very well (very powerful feature !) but i have some problem to fit
my subform due to the large amount of data present inside of it.
I wondering if it were possible to set the width of the leftmost column
(where there is the selection of the related record) because it is huge and
it use the main part of my form.

I try to see in the properties of the widget but unsuccessfully.

Indeed I think is a good habit to organize the views to always have the gid
as the first field in order to avoid the problem of choose the right PK
column.
Now qgis already warns if the column is not suitable as a PK. Probably I
miss something but I really can't understand the improvement of the new
behavior.

I noticed that this new behavior has been backported to 2.8.3.
I think this behavior should be considered a regression because now it's
very uncomfortable to load views, specially when I have to load many views.
I also noticed that lot of users are confused, because they thinks that
views doesn't work. I think the old behavior was better because it allowed
both to choose a custom gid and to load view faster.
Currently we decide to remain with 2.8.2.

What about reconsidering to return to the old behavior ?

 It was a bug, it's now fixed in master. I'll backport this fix after
 2.8.2 is released.

unit, because the combo remain void. It's a bug or I missing something ?

it seem that the support for ESRI geodatabase (.mdb) is enabled only in
OSGEO version but it doesn't work with the standalone installer version.
Can anyone confirm or it's just my local problem ?

Which version of PostGIS are you using ?

You have to check to have at least select grants to the geometry_columns
table (in postgis 1.5) or view (in postgis 2.0) in public schema.
If you can't access to this table qgis spends a lot of time in order to
scan all geometries of all layer.

with PostGIS  2.0 you also have to manually register you layer into the
geometry_columns table

[Qgis-user] Qgis 1.9 - problem in loading project

Hi,

I have some problem to load my project with Qgis (osgeo 1.9.371) on win 7.
When I open the project I see all layer loading, but at the end all layer
disappear and the TOC remains empty. Qgis status bar say project loaded
and no error is shown in the message log panel.

I try to create again the same project but the problem come again after a
while.

there's a way to validate the .qgs xml file ?

I'm trying to use using qgis for field survey with a panasonic CF-19 Tablet
PC coupled with an XP tablet edition. I use it with 2 battery and a low
cost bluetooh GPS. It's a good solution for field work when you need to
survey complex data (as a geological or geomorphological survey) and not
just point or simple data.

As Andreas said, Qgis is not yet well optimized in order to use it with
field device but I can work with QT form and GPS quite well.
The major problems for me are the poor integration with the handwriting
recognition keyboard, the lack of some GPS features and freehand annotation
on the map.
You can also try BeeGIS, a plugin for uDIG developed for field work. It has
all the basic feature for field work, incuded manual and automatic GPS
waypoint recording and form editor and some other nice stuff. The
limitation of Beegis, on the other hand, is that it doesn't support
spatialite and that it is has a less complete GIS functionality.

I hope for the future to support the developing of some kind of integration
of BeeGIS field tools with QGIS in order to have an unique GIS framework
for field an office work and to couple the best quality of the two sw.

 tablet (that can support QGIS and QT, longer battery life, and with minimal
 glare when used outdoors)?

[Qgis-user] Copy drag'n'drop form

on qgis 1.9 I need to copy a from created with the drag'n'drop feature from
a layer to anoter one. I've tried to  to save the qml form the fist layer
and load it from the second, but the information of form seems to be lost.
in the attributeEditorForm tag of qml all form info are present.
Is it a bug or a non implemented function ?

There's another way to do my task ?

where image is the field containing the image name and path and

I think the beahviour is the same of other .qml properties, so it is
autoloaded  with the shapefile if there's a qml in the same directory and
then the properties is saved in the .qgs project the first time you save
the project.

[Qgis-user] 1.9.90-70 can't load WMS

The latest version of qgis Master 1.9.90-70 on win xp can't load wms layer.
All windows works fine but when I press the add button nothing happens.
Is this a known issue? I should open a ticket or is better if I wait in
case this is only due to some new feature developing?

Hi, I'm trying to use the atlas plugin.
All works fine except that if I use my local projection system (EPSG:
32632) the WMS base map
is printed shifted. If I print directly via QGIS composer the WMS is
printed in the right way.
The same thing happened with the map book plugin but it can be solved using
the trick of print as raster.

Anyone can confirm to me this bug. Can I do some other test that can be
used to solve the problem ?

Fortunately now are just few things. Recently I've had to use ArcGis just to
do complex layouts and to create series of geo-reports. I'm trying to bypass
this using the command line '-snapshot' option but it's just a little too
tricky. Some others limitations for my work of the Qgis composer are that it
doesn't seems to be really WYSIWYG, and that it has some problem with pdf
and svg export. For all the other things our migration to PostGIS+QGIS was
been a very fruitfully experience, and I hope I can give up AG soon also for
these last works.

 subtitle, scale and rotation. Scale and rotation will be ignored for polygon

yes, in the 1st tiff header the

it means

GeoTransform =
  lon offset scale related nonzero rotation
  lat offset nonzero rotation scale related


if you transform the N-S oriented image in a NS oriented image I think the
image will be magically displayed faster.
Of course, adding tiled and overview with gdal should improve the
performance.

I think the problem isn't in the GDAL drivers because I try to open the same
slow image with others OS GIS and the it's is displayed well.

I've had the same problem with my ortophoto. I'm not really sure but I think
the problem is due to the rotation parameter that is not managed at the best
by QGIS. Some months ago I've tried to oped a ticket (

 I had similar BW rasters, topographic maps from Belgium, same compression.

 I uncompressed all, should boost performance. Plus, I added plenty
 overviews.

Hi,

In the first part of the new year we are going to start a project, in
collaboration with an italian university, to create a symbols library mainly
for geologist and geomorphologist.
The library could be compatible with udig and qgis so we thought to use
mainly the svg for point symbol, but we will also use sld for poligon or
more complex symbol.

In the immediate future we have to choose our standards and the simbol, but
we thought to start with the ISPRA (the Italian geological survey office)
library.

 As part of GIS day, Wed. November 17th a few of us at the University of
 California, Davis will be getting together to work on converting some
 symbols. Our focus is on getting US government agencies symbologies,
 which is public domain, into SVG format for use in programs like QGIS
 (That's what we'll be testing against).

 I'm taking requests if anyone else has symbols they want to see
 converted, please add it to the list or email me:

 This 1/2 day event is a test run for future events where we can mass
 convert, tag and sort a large library of symbols.

 There are a few things I hope that we'll discuss tomorrow and in the
 future on the graph...@lists.osgeo.org. The first is how to sort or tag
 symbols. Since symbols can be of a certain type but also belong to a set
 it will be good to find away to allow for this without having to store
 symbols twice.
 Second would be what size and format to store symbols in. Initially I'm
 thinking about how to store both inkscape and plain svg (and comparing
 them) along with batch auto-generation of png versions so that those
 won't have to be in a repository.
