[Qgis-user] Qgis 3.22.8 Error messages displayed in the GUI

2022-07-11 Thread Piet via Qgis-user

Dear List,

I used a selfcompiled Qgis, build with 'Debug-Option' set in ccmake.

Now there's a small red window in the main window which displayed
errors/warning.

In my case "Qt: QXcbConnection: XCB error: 3 (BadWindow), sequence:
65154, resource id: 11286601, major code: 40 (TranslateCoords), minor
code: 0",

which seems to be a known QT-Bug.

Can I turn of this error window?

Because it's upset me a bit and I can see the warnings in a console as well.

Thank you for any hint!

Kind regards

Piet

[Qgis-user] Compile Master with Debian Bullseye

2022-06-23 Thread Piet via Qgis-user

Dear List,

I like to compile Qgis Master with Debian Bullseye following the
building guide https://github.com/qgis/QGIS/blob/master/INSTALL.md

for Debian.

"make" failed with this error:

make[2]: *** [src/core/CMakeFiles/qgis_core.dir/build.make:15201:
output/lib/libqgis_core.so.3.27.0] Fehler 1
make[1]: *** [CMakeFiles/Makefile2:4208:
src/core/CMakeFiles/qgis_core.dir/all] Fehler 2

make: *** [Makefile:166: all] Fehler 2

and logs a lot of similar messages like:

/usr/bin/ld: CMakeFiles/qgis_core.dir/raster/qgsrasterfilewriter.cpp.o:
in function `QgsRasterFileWriter::extensionsForFormat(QString const&)':
qgsrasterfilewriter.cpp:(.text+0x7614): undefined reference to
`GDALGetDriverByName'
/usr/bin/ld: qgsrasterfilewriter.cpp:(.text+0x7640): undefined reference
to `GDALGetMetadata'
/usr/bin/ld: qgsrasterfilewriter.cpp:(.text+0x765f): undefined reference
to `CSLFetchBoolean'
/usr/bin/ld: qgsrasterfilewriter.cpp:(.text+0x7683): undefined reference
to `GDALGetMetadataItem'

Could you give me a tipp?

Thank you!

Kind regards

Piet

Re: [Qgis-user] QGIS 3.24 Ubuntu

2022-04-21 Thread Piet via Qgis-user
Hello Angeles,

For your second question: Maybe you can compile an older version of Qgis by
using  Github

https://github.com/qgis/QGIS

How to uninstall Qgis is depending on the way you use to install it before, I
guess.

But it would be possible to use different versions of Qgis as well (Keep your
actual version
and compile Qgis in a separate folder).

Kind regards

Piet

Re: [Qgis-user] RAM and processing speed requirements for QGIS

2022-04-19 Thread Piet via Qgis-user

Hi Helena,

I ise an old HP with 8GB RAM with Qgis.
But I think any answer should depends on the tasks you like to do with Qgis.
Create an atlas, use gdal to transorm etc.

Different tasks caused different workloads I guess.

For a lot of tasks I use a dynamic swap space (Linux) on a physical drive.
