 Hi Steve,
 Thanks for the reply. I had had the thought that I may be missing QT
 libraries or something, so pointing me to Ministro was helpful.
 The QGIS install process had not raised that Ministro was missing. I
 have since installed it (version 9.6.8) and still get the same error
 when installing QGIS.

 I download the nightly build;
 I see the privacy / access information and I press Install;
 The screen says QGIS, Installing... with a moving blue bar across
 the screen;
 After a minute or so, the message Installing... changes to xApp not
 installed;
 A done button at the bottom of the screen is my only option.

 If anyone could help, or direct me to other sources who can help me
 install QGIS, that would be great!!!

 TIA
 Hugh

I found a bug report in the Android QGIS system, saying that you must
unmount your SD card before installing QGIS.
I have tried this, and QGIS is up and running on my phone :)

[Qgis-user] QGIS - Android

2014-05-13 Thread h

I am wanting to run QGIS on a Samsung S4 GT-I9505, (Android 4.4.2.)

When I install from Google Play, the QGIS installer installs
When I select Download and install, it says that the file is 0MB big,
and it fails to download successfully.
When I select the nightly build it goes through the process, but says
App not installed;

Is this the right list for support on the Android platform?
Can anyone help me with how to install QGis?

With thanks

[Qgis-user] QGIS Android: can't see files on nexus 7

2013-07-26 Thread ciskoh
Hi all,
I've installed QGIS mobile on my nexus 7, wanting to have my maps on the
field with me. The installation went ok but at the moment of loading files
QGIS shows only one folder (which doesn't exist if you look at it from file
manager)and doesn't allow browsing in other folders. I have tried the same
thing with the stable and the nightly build, but without improvements.

Did anyone experience the same problem? What should I do? Please note that I
am a total nube of android

Thanks

As an OT:
is anyone thinking of a specific plugin for groundproofing of remote
sensing-derived maps? I think it could have a huge application and rise the
interest of many

[Qgis-user] QGIS Android: can't see files on nexus 7

2013-07-26 Thread Raúl Nanclares
Hi Mateo, if i recall correctly, the problem is you can't see the folder
QGIS is using because it's hidden.

Try this:

When you click on the 'browse' button, in the menu that opens after you
click on add vector, use the 'up arrow' to navigate through the system
folders. Eventually you will reach the / folder, click again on the 'up
arrow' and you will see several folders, click on /sdcard, you should be
able to open any file stored in those folders.

Hope it helps.

Cheers.

[Qgis-user] QGIS Android Device

2012-06-18 Thread Lenny Sorey
Hello All,

Just wanted say a big thanks to Marco. for his Android creation .

I tested yesterday (Sunday June 17th) on my ASUS TFT 300 (ice cream 4.0.3)
and I can happily say that everything described in the docs
works very well.

The resolution on the screen was very good.

I was able to test the GPS tools with the qgis-master-alpha7.apk
and the most recent qgis-nightly.apk.

I was able to capture GPS data while walking around my front yard and a
ways
down the street.

One thing that I could not do as in Marco's GPS Tools video was to actually
see my route
plotted out as in Marco's video. Must have missed something in the setup of
GPS Tools.

I am planning on testing again with a WAAS enabled USB tethered GPS device
to see if I can capture
more GPS data.

One thing I could not find anywhere was the NMEA log I attempted to save
while testing.

Looked all over the file system in my ASUS TFT 300 and never could find the
NMEA log file.

Has anyone been successful in finding the log file yet?

With all said above, I am very excited about the possibilities the QGIS
Android App offers.

Hopefully as the app matures somehow RTK GPS correction can be applied to
the GPS Tool Plugin.

I would love to continue to be a tester for this app as I can tether my
android phone via Bluetooth Hotspot
to have internet connectivity.

Keep up the great work Marco. Please let me know how I can help.

Regards,

Lenny Sorey
