the field datatype should be string. if the datatype of your field 
something else, the the attachment widget will be disabled.

Hi Karsten,
Is the field type string? Otherwise you cannot use the attachment widget.

Hi All,

I am trying to add a photo attribute field in QGIS 3.4 with "Attachment"
widget in the attribute form dialogue field. But it is always greyed out so
could not select "Attachment" widget so far. How can I accomplish this ?
