Hi Chris,

That feature isn't currently supported yet. On my todo list for the next
version if I get some time.

Regards,
Nathan

  Hi

I have recently downloaded QGIS 2.4 and am very interested in the layer
definition files option. I have saved a couple of test files in a folder
which I have added as a favourite within the browser window. When I come to
try and add a QLR file I cannot see it, I cannot seem to view any files
 within the folder.

Can someone tell me if QLR files can be added from the browser window area?

 Thanks, Chris

Hi Nathan

Thanks for the quick response! That would be brilliant if it can be included
for v2.5. I lead a GIS team for a local Council and we use ESRI layer files
extensively in our ESRI software. The pace of QGIS development is amazing and I
really am considering switching over to QGIS, v impressed with v2.4.
