 Eh?  'People' is plural.
 Of course, people often use the awful plural 'persons'

Ah, but you can have The peoples of the world meaning the multiple sets of
people contained within the Universe.

Or, to be even more tortuous, you can have something pertaining to multiple
sets of people and then you can use peoples'. Don't you just love english
grammar?

For the last 12 days this list has been dominated by a discussion regarding
English grammar, hardly on topic. Reading through them you might think that
you were on the 'Never Mind the Full Stops' news group, rather than
Ql-users!

Please, please get back on topic!

Cheers

I am sure you are capable of that action. You would know best, so why

Or perhaps you mean May I  . . .

 So if it is possible for the computer to handle infinity how and
 where is
 it done ?

 Processor or co-processor ?
 Operating system ?
 Programme, spreadsheet or calculator ?

 Would it be dependent on how numbers were represented internally ?

 I can't see how one can calculate to infinity even though it is
 simple to
 reason that there are an infinite number of points on a finite line.

 1/0 , 0^0 (==0/0) each produce errors in MSExcel.

 Unsurprising, I suppose, that I see no font containing the symbol.

The IEEE format of signed infinities for the FPU on Q40 and Q60 is

$    (minus infinity)
$7FFF    (plus infinity)

The fifth zero could in fact be 8 as a viable alternative.
