Re: [Ql-Users] SAV files

I'm thinking that I might have some information somewhere. However, I once wrote a SB program to decode a _SAV file and 'print' the output in SuperBasic - I was attempting to write a librarian program that could extract procs and FNs from a _SAV (plus dependencies) and write them out as normal SuperBasic code. (ASCII in other words!) If I can find the code I'll send it over. Failing that, Jan Jones or Tony Tebby's docs have all the details - a _SAV is simply a tokenised SUperBasic program in the format it is stored internally in the 'program file' area. George will probably know all the details from his work on the Turbo stuff. I don't know the exact form of _SAV files but they are pretty certainly copies of the tokenised program. The tokens used by SMSQ/E incorporate Minerva additions to the original QL SuperBASIC as described by Jan Jones, and these will be in SMSQ/E _SAV files. Re: [Ql-Users] Message formatting
Yes, it seems so, but as a user of OE, there are no alternatives. It was quite easy in the times of Maustausch, there were quite a few good programs on the Atari, which I have used, also QLFED from Andreas Rudolf on QDOS/SMSQ. They first formatted the quoted text, left space for the quotation chars, then set the quotation chars. OE simply do it vice versa. No chance. Cheers...Ralf - Original Message - From: Tony Firshman I think mailing lists like this need in-line quoting. The vast majority do use this, and good mailers like Thunderbird do this by default. However some users append the Original message under the reply. M$ Outlook (and Express) mailers unfortunately do this by default. This makes it look pretty bad, especially in a reply. Also the Original message includes an in-line quoted message with all the correct indents, but now without the extra indent, making it unusable in further in-line replies. What do others think? Re: [Ql-Users] Happy New Year
Hi, glad to read more and more magazines arrive :-) Yes, as I wrote - the pricing of QL Today would not work if I had to mail all of them from here, Germany. Worse, Deutsche Post has increased the price for exactly this kind of letter to Europe by 13%. All of you who received the issues may have noticed that the magazine had 25% more pages than initially planned :-D Cheers Jochen Hi My copy of QL Today was delivered in South-East London today - 4th January 2010. I guess it has been waiting in the Sorting Office until after the New Year, which is where the delay may lay. I notice that it was posted in Austria - owing to a lower posting cost charge there - yet has no date stamp on it. ___ QL-Users Mailing List http://www.q-v-d.demon.co.uk/smsqe.htm
