Re: [Ql-Users] Is there any interest?
Depends on weight, but it might be worth sending it to Dave Park first to replace the sponges on the microdrive cartridges - then if it all came to me (you send the other stuff direct), then I can disseminate it to the various user groups who are specifically interested in the ZX81 / TS1000 and the TS2068 - as well as preserving the QL stuff. [Ql-Users] Is there any interest?
Secreted away in my trove of Sinclair materials is a box of goodies left over from the days of SyncWare News. SyncWare News was a technical and software featuring USA publication of about 6 years, 1983-1989, totaling somewhere around 42 issues before it retired. Software (on a varity of media), articles, reviews, contest submissions, and various bits and pieces of what was once interesting stuff, all ZX81, TS1000, TS2068, and QL related. Would anyone be interested enough for it to be worthwhile cattylogging some of it and listing it for sale here? I believe that most of the box's contents are the original submissions for publication, so what would end up available would be the original media, Docs, proposed article writeups and what ever else is located and attached with the material. -- Paul Holmgren ___ QL-Users Mailing List http://www.q-v-d.demon.co.uk/smsqe.htm

Re: [Ql-Users] QPTR Manual
Hi Tobias, p. 16, paragraph above „Menus“ p 143, 3rd paragraph, „may not be altered“ Ok, thanks! The others, I think you’ve already covered. (Fast work!) No, time warp : done before you mentioned the problem! Wolfgang Thanks aga in, Tobias that jobs that don’t have their windows as topmost in the pile and try to output to the screen will be suspended - With Marcel’s PE_BGON and PE_BGOFF changes this „feature“ can at least be switched off in > WMAN2. ___ QL-Users Mailing List http://www.q-v-d.demon.co.uk/smsqe.htm ___ QL-Users Mailing List http://www.q-v-d.demon.co.uk/smsqe.htm

I would envisage the best way would be to create as a minimum a device driver such as "socket_192.168.1.1_80", "listen_192.168.1.1_80" and "send_192.168.1.1_80". as this would give simple connection and datagram access, but you'd have to implement the overlying protocol yourself. In addition, it may be useful to implement higher level device drivers, such as http_ and ftp_ as I imagine that these would be the most useful for data transfer on and off the QL, using a transformed URI e.g. copy "ftp_remote.fileserver.org/pub/ql/usefulfile" to flp1_userfulfile Steve -- --- Nostalgia isn't as good as it used to be. ___ QL-Users Mailing List http://www.q-v-d.demon.co.uk/smsqe.htm
